Red Delight Noel

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

This one came from my UFO box.

The piece was done back in 2020 using this technique.

Basically the stamp was inked with VersaMark ink and brushed with powdered ink.
I used Lindy's Magicals.  After adding the powders, I spritzed and stamped on
mixed media paper.  I actually got 7 pulls with this inking and this was one of them.
It was cut with a diamond shaped die

Challenges:
Allsorts week 811 - Lots of white or ATG
Beautiful Blossoms #24 - ATG flowers
Penny Black Saturday - ATG Penny Black

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Red Delight, Merry Up (both PB)
Ink:   VersaMark
Paper:   Mixed Media (Strathmore 400 series), gold Foil, Neenah, Cover of Mixed Media pad
Other:  Lindy's Magicals (Autumn Maple Crimson, Ponderosa Pine Olive), Diamond Dies (SB), Perfect Sentiments Holiday Glimmer Plate & Die (PFS), Gold Foil (SB)

Enjoy!

  1. What a wonderful technique and thanks for the instructions in your write up! I must try this since it’s such a great watercolor look without watercoloring. This is gorgeous, Bonnie!

  3. Wow, what a great technique with your lovely poinsettia, and to think you got 7 from the one inking. Love how you cut it in the diamond shape and added the gold border.

  6. I remember this technique. It seems like it would be tricky with the Magicals, but you got some amazing results. Love the gold diamond. Elegant!

  10. This is a beautiful flower and I'm sure it must be very shiny and pretty using the Lindy's Magical Powders and just a bit of water to get the colour flowing, and the gold diamond shaped frame looks wonderful Bonnie, and a lovely gold 'Noel' to finish it too. x
