Tis the season for snow.
I hope we see some here in central NC.
This may be the only way I see snow this season.
I've die cut a rectangle and embossed a piece of blue cardstock.
To get a snowy look, I lightly dragged a white inkpad over the embossed trees.
Some chunky white embossing powder sprinkled on and heated from the back
created some snow.
The birches were added to the inside of the frame and the frame has been
popped up a bit on foam so I could add a piece of acetate and some snowy sequins.
The foam doesn't have a lot of depth so the shakers are kind of stuck, but that's okay.
It won't require extra postage to mail.

And the birch trees with the POP of color from the Cardinal look fabulous against that background too, and then to make it a shaker...win, win!! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Beautiful card Bonnie. LOVE the trees with the bit of snow on the soft gray blue background. It definitely is a winter wonderland, my friend. The birch trees are so fabulous in the background with the bright red cardinal. Adding the shaker bits makes this card even more special. Awesome design!! xx

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Bonnie and what a great idea to put the super birch trees behind the acetate lined rectangle and add the pretty blue shaker elements, and I love the red cardinal, also the soft white of the trees and snowflakes and the sprinkling of white heat embossed Frantage are great finishing touches. x
