Tulip Tag

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

The tulips are beginning to bloom here.  I always love seeing their
bright heads popping up in the gardens.

So it was time to get out these NBUS Simon Hurley tulip dies.

I cut all the pieces from mixed media paper and colored with Distress re-inkers
used as watercolors.

Some frames in my leftover box and were a good fit for the tulip
with an embossed pieces behind.

A tiny butterfly and happy Birthday tag finished it off.

Challenges:
NBUS  #84 - Never Before Used Schtuff

I did one for Easter too with my favorite yellow tulip.

There are two more tulips in the set.  I'll save them for another day.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Market Basket Sentiments (GR)
Ink:   Garden Green
Paper: Mixed Media (Strathmore), Neenah, Strawberry Slush
Other:  Tulip Garden Collection dies (Simon Hurley/SB), Bright Butterflies die (SSS), Macrame EF (ret SU), Distress re-inkers (Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness), Pinpoint Main Street Tag die (MB)

Enjoy!

  1. Bonnie, your tulips are gorgeous! Of course, they are my favorite flower, but your designs, colors, and coloring have really brought these to life!
I have a few popping from the ground - but didn't have one bloom last year... fingers crossed! Maybe I should just come see yours?

  2. Two beautiful tulip cards Bonnie! I love the water-colored look on both of these cards and the framing and embossing looks fabulous with them too! Love the addition of the tiny tag too! Sweet, sweet Spring cards my friend! The bunnies have already been chomping at my tulip leaves, so not sure I'll have any tulips this year! Grrrrr!! They don't touch my Dafodills though and those are coming up beautifully! Now if we could just get rid of the snow we woke up to this morning! Not a lot though...more like a dusting and hopefully the sun will melt it all away before noon! Have a great weekend!! Hugs. :0)

  3. You are so lucky to see Tulips in bloom. We don't have Tulips or Daffodils here in Northern Florida. I'll take one yellow Tulip please.
