Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I'm trying to use all the dies in the Alex Siberia Cheerful Meadow die set.
I had used the bunnies here. Today I'm using the layered butterfly.
I know, I know, I didn't need another butterfly die, but this one came with
those adorable bunnies. There's more in this set too. You'll be seeing them soon.
I colored the butterfly with two shades of coral ink with a darker intensity on the
bottom layer going lighter on the top layers.
I used Judy's Freshly Made Sketch #730...
I kept my squares lined up. Usually I would go with the tilt, but this time
straight looked best to me.
Thanks Judy for making a sketch that worked perfectly for my butterfly and for
the Design Team that inspired me with their butterflies!

This is beautiful! I can see why you just had to have another butterfly die---I might have to go check them out myself! LOVE the color---my favorite! So delightful on a pretty spring day!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful butterfly on a beautiful card. Love the colors and the texture. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWell of course you NEEDED another butterfly die Bonnie! They're all just a bit different and too much fun to play with (I may have just bought another set of butterflies myself!)! I love the coral color and the lined up squares against the beautifully embossed background...you aced Judy's sketch!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteCan one ever have TOO MANY? This is such a wonderful, layered butterfly, Bonnie! You've really put Judy's sketch to work for you here - LOve the pinked edge, and your perfect slip of vellum!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for using our sketch today for her maiden flight, my friend!

That butterfly is just enough different that it's a good one to have in your stash, Bonnie. I love how it is layered. The overall design with the all white background shows her off beautifully.
ReplyDeleteUm... can a person have too many butterflies? There are so many different ones! I would say this butterfly is uniquely beautiful. You made me look at this set and now I'm pining away for it. However, I'll wait for the time being. Your card turned out lovely with the decorative edge and the embossing in the background.
ReplyDeleteYour background of a mix of embossing and scoring with pinked edge is so beautiful. A wonderful place for your pretty layered butterfly to land. :) xx
ReplyDeleteI too have too many butterfly dies and stamps!! But since this one came with your adorable bunny dies, I don't think you should regret adding this one! It's lovely in shades of orange and perfect against the partially embossed background.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card, and those butterflies are truly beautiful. Whoever said you can have enough butterfly dies doesn't realize that new designs are constantly being created, and we absolutely must have them. Yes, there are never enough butterflies.
ReplyDeleteHugss,
BozenA
That sketch is so useful. Seeing so many lovely cards using it. Yours is fabulous. love the texture on the embossed side, the edge and embossing on the left panel and the use of vellum for one of your squares. Super card.
ReplyDeleteNo tilt?! Gosh, I think it looks pretty fabulous with the stagger, Bonnie! Your butterfly is gorgeous in the coral tones too
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, love that butterfly. x
