Three Birdies for Color Hues

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's time for another challenge from Color Hues!

This month Carol picked one of my favorite combination!  She chose....

My first thought was to go with bees.  But I'd done a bee recently.  Then I saw my
friend Leslie's adorable birdie card.  It sent me shopping immediately (thanks for the
enabling, my friend.  Like Leslie, I die cut the birds from patterned paper.

The dies cut six different birdies and I only used three here.  You'll be seeing
more of them pop up from time to time.  I had such a good time playing with them!

Now let's go and see what my talented friends and our
fantastic Guest Designers Barbara Campbell & Diana Karlova have done to inspire you.

I hope you'll create a card using Yellow & Black and add it to the gallery at

Challenge ends at 9:00 AM on June 29th.

The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.

Most importantly, just have fun!

  6. The colors black and yellow immediately bring to mind bees, and I'm so pleasantly surprised you didn't go that route. These birds are really cute, they have such fun shapes, and cutting them out of patterned paper is a brilliant idea. A perfect card for challenge inspiration, my dear Bonnie.
