I'm seeing Fall everywhere I look. The leaves are not really colorful here, but they're falling rapidly. It's impossible to keep the walk swept up. But it's kinda fun to crunch those leaves under our feet.
The Queen for the Day at SCS today is Jan (aka Precious Kitty). I didn't have to go far to find an inspiration. I chose this beautiful card to CASE. Jan CASED her card so I guess it's a CASE of a CASE. This is one of my favorite layouts.
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted
Card Recipe
Ink: Smoky Slate
Paper: Naturals White, Summer Sun (retired), Chocolate Chip
Other: Simply Scored, Burlap Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Daisies #2 Bigz Die (retired), Twine (non SU)
To do the faux wood siding, I scored a piece of Naturals White on my Simply Scored then dragged my Smoky Slate inkpad over it very gently. The bow is 4 loops on my bow maker. I cut the stitching off the edges of the burlap ribbon to give it a more rustic look. Now I wish I hadn't. I got more of a rustic look than I wanted.
There are a lot of challenges to do Fall/Autumn cards.
Sunflowers always make me think of Fall.
See the sunflowers in the picture?
Gorgeous Fall card, Bonnie. I love the way you loop that twine and it looks so pretty with that flower. The faux wood siding looks great, too.

ReplyDeleteLove the card--I'm going to try that faux siding soon! So cool!!
And my favorite thing about Autumn is the cooler temps! And candy corn. =D
Well I love your extra rustic look, Bonnie. Stunning!! Thanks so much for playing along at ATSM and ATCAS xx
ReplyDeleteLove your bright sunflower and absolutely love that burlap highlighting this flower blaze on your white card. I liked the fraying edges on your ribbon...it looked _just right_! Also liked that scoring...looked like house battens. Always love your special bow too. What I like best about Fall: the blaze of glorious colors we get to see around our areas, when we've not had a drought filled summer. Am hoping when we get back to SC, we will start to see this. We're losing a lot of leaves too, but some in the area have started to show a bit of color. None in our immediate subdivision however! We did see a bright red leaf on one of our small dogwoods. Used to love the smell of burning leaves, but alas, can't handle that any longer! TFS & Hugs
