With all this snow and cold, what could be a better challenge than a cozy quilt.
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!
Here's the sweet inspiration photo
I didn't use those sweet colors, but I did "quilt" my card.
The sponsor this week is Lil Inker Designs.
I used their stitched mats rectangles on the edges of this card.
The circles were made by first punching with a 1" circle punch from DSP then punching around the hole with a 1 1/4" circle punch.
I used the last snippet of this piece of DSP so off I go to
where the ground is wet but the atmosphere is warm.
Since this quilt pattern is called Wedding Ring I'm entering it in the
Simon Says Wednesday challenge which is
WEDDING/ANNIVERSARY.
The CCEE Stamper's challenge (which is about ready to close)
is PUNCH ART.
Since I used punches for my "quilt squares", I'm entering this over there.
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!
Card Recipe
Paper: Whisper White, DSP snippets
Other: 1" Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Square Lattice EF, Stitched Mats Rectangles (Lil Inker)
All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted
Bonnie, this is the coolest card. You do such good work with punches. I love that you "quilted" the quilt "stitched" the sides of your gorgeous quilt. Very creative!!
ReplyDeleteNeat way to make those circles!!!! Love this pretty "quilt" of a card. Beautiful colors.

Love the quilt! That is a neat idea, glue on pieces and emboss the whole shebang together. I've done that before but forgot about it as a technique. It makes a great quilt and the circles make me think of the Olympics--very timely for that as well. Hope it warms up soon so you can make cards with bikinis on them.
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought you were posting a real quilt. Fantastic. It looks like a full sized bed Quilt. I saw one almost identical to this in Amish country.
ReplyDeleteThe embossed background is gorgeous Bonnie, Love the frame too. Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Curtain Call!
