Things we Love and Seeing Stars

The Featured Stamper at Splitcoaststampers this week is
Lisa Kubica.

I hadn't "met" her before and so enjoyed her gallery.

I chose this card to CASE.

I loved this triangular piece with the flowers so I shamelessly CASEd her card.

I did use different flower stamps and embossing instead of stitching.

I used the Lil' Inker Stitched Square die and cut the square in half.

Sticky notes masked off the edges so I could stamp the flowers up to but not over the edge.

After stamping the flowers and leaves, I used a damp  Aqua Painter to spread the colors.

This card measures 3 1/4" x 6 1/4".

While I was at it, I thought I'd play with the
CAS and Color Challenges at SCS too.

This is the card I did for both of these challenges.

The CAS challenge is to use stars and
the Color Challenge is Real Red, Marina Mist and Night of Navy.

I pulled out the Starry Die from Verve for the base of this card.

I die cut the stars from a piece of white and snippets of
red, navy and Marina Mist.

The stars fit back into the negative spaces of the white piece and
the extras were scattered around.

It was really quick and fun.

I'm entering into the
ANYTHING GOES

 I'm glad you stopped by.

Enjoy!

  6. Two fabulous cards Bonnie. Especially LOVE the triangle flower card. Even though it's the same layout as Lisa's card, you have made it your own with your soft colouring and flowers and added scalloped edge and stitching detail. Very feminine, soft and delicate. xx

  10. I love the way you veered from Lisa's card and made yours tall and skinny, Bonnie. The stamped flowers are lovely. I just may have to CASE your CASE. Love the other one, too. Very patriotic and masculine.

  11. Oh Bonnie, I'm doing catchup this afternoon, but I'd had a glimpse of this pretty earlier, and had to zip back for a closer look, and to tell you how much I love this unique design treatment. The flowers look so beautiful with the side triangle design, and brilliant to mask off the outer edges so the nice white edges framed the beautiful blooms. Also love the very patriotic stars card too. You are a wonder, Miss B. Hope the weekend has been great. TFS & Hugs
