There's a new sketch challenge over at
I went will the image and all and got to use this
NBUS tree that had been languishing in my NBUS box.
Somehow whenever it waved at me and said "use me, use, me"
I shook my head and put it back.
It's now a happy tree!
I die cut it from a piece of saturated watercolor with lots of greens.
The trunk didn't look very good in that green, so I colored it and the branches
with a SU Marker and used an Aqua Painter to smoosh the color around.
Then I touched up some of the leaves with a darker green marker
and painted some ground underneath before stamping the sentiment.
I stuck it on a background piece colored with the
ANYTHING GOES
I'm glad you stopped by today.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThe tree of hope :-) We can take refuge in the safe boughs. A tree provides us access to the elements of earth and sky, which symbolically express the colors green and blue. We can also bathe in energizing golden sunshine. You made so much the symbolism in your card ... I love her and I thank you for it.
