A Little Penguin for Merry Monday

Good Merry Monday Morning, friends!

We have a fun challenge this week
brought to us by wonderful Wendy!

We'll be on a 2 week schedule at Merry Monday for the summer.

So you have an extra week to get your penguins out and join in.

My little guy started life as a $1.00 stamp from the Michael's bin.

I was a lucky girl that day!

I've stamped it twice. Once in black and once in red.

I cut out the hat and bow tie from the red image and stuck them on the black image,
which had been fussy cut, and colored (beak and feet).

Then I used my Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames Die
to give this little guy a sparkly jumping off spot.

Some Fran-tage EP embossed on a snippet of blue behind the whole thing
gave some extra texture and color.

For a little more fun, I added some
Flower Soft to his hat.

This card was fun to make!

Since most of this card was made from snippets, I'm off to

Now it's your turn to have some fun putting a penguin on a Christmas card.
Then I hope you'll join us at

Enjoy!

  1. Darling card, Bonnie! What a sweet penguin, and such a find in Michael's bin - I like to look in all those bins (Target has them too!) and you can find some perfect things. That glittery polaroid looks great too! Thanks for the inspiration at Merry Monday and for being such a great guest designer host!!

  16. What a chilly lil' sweetie, and he surely doesn't look like Mike's $1 bin. He's just cute as he can be, with all the lovely sky blue and snowfall. Love the glittered rames, & snowflakes...very icy feeling. And like the way you've done the negative sentiment treatment. His little hat with the fur and his checkered bowtie just suits him perfectly for a little ice skate. TFS & Hugs. (at 8:30pm, it's still 90, no air either).
