Loving Blooming Buds

I was so excited when I saw the Blooming Buds set
that my friend Deepti had designed.

This is just one of the flowers in the set.

I knew these colors would be perfect for Deepti's stamps.

I embossed the flower with VersaMark ink and clear embossed it.

Using Distress Markers, I colored the flower and blended the colors
with an Aqua Painter.

After painting the flower, I wet the area around it,
scribbled some ink on a piece of plastic and picked it up
with my Aqua Painter and added some color.

I used hot press watercolor paper for the first time
and I love the smooth texture!

Thanks, Brenda, for sharing the difference between hot press and cold press.

I'm going to share this with the

  18. Wow Bonnie! This is a stunning card!! I love how your flower turned out on the water color paper. The colors you used are stunning and I love how you did the color around the flower too. So gorgeous! I also love the sentiment and happy to see that it has the other words with it instead of just the live, laugh, love. Glad you are liking the hot press watercolor paper. It was a happy mistake on my part which let me to google it to find the difference between the cold and hot. It's nice to have smoother surface to work on. Hugs, Brenda
