La Rue Shaker

I am so excited!

I've made my first shaker card!

My DD #2 gave me a fuse tool and bags for Christmas.

I was amazed at how easy it was to use this tool!

I figured I'd fill the trash can before I could get it right.

This is the first try.

Hope it isn't beginner's luck and the last time it works for me.

DD will be getting this card.

Using the same heart die (I love this die) and embossing folder,
I did this card.

  1. These are stunning! I love shaker cards but hate the process, so maybe a fuse tool is what I need too! The sequins are just gorgeous! That die is beautiful, used either way!

  2. Well Done Bonnie making your first shaker. I made one years ago and got in a sticky mess.

Yours is absolutely gorgeous. You wonder you're delighted. The red heart card is very lovely too. Both beautiful work. Barbxx

  6. Ooooooh...these are both SO pretty Bonnie! I love that heart die and think I need to check that out, and the embossing folder is just perfect for these cards too! Darnell did a post a while back with shaker cards and the fuse tool, and so of course I had to order it, and now it sits on my shelf...grrrr! Think I need to break open that package and use it! Anyway, both of your cards are just lovely!! :0)

  11. Hi Bonnie,
I saw your card on the SSS Challenge and had to come over to check out your blog! These cards are beautiful. I love this Memory Box die!! Might have to get it! So...the fuse tool, huh? I have had mine for a few months and was very excited when I got it. I actually never made a shaker card before I bought the fuse tool! So, naturally I used it. This was back in October for Halloween cards. Only issue I had was that the fused pocket was so flat, I wasn't sure if the pieces would shake nicely! Two days ago I made a shaker card and did NOT use the fuse. I think I like that better!! I'm curious what you think and would love to hear from you. Jeanne (jeannes.cards@gmail.com)

  23. One of the most beautiful of the MBox heart dies, and used to perfection on each of these gorgeous cards. Well done on the shadow box. Lots of complex designing on #1, and each little technique looks wonderful. Love the shaker & well done with the new tool. Also love the rich elegance of the gleaming red on #2. You've been a busy little crafter!!! TFS &Hugs

  25. Wow, what stunning cards Bonnie! I am totally loving that heart die! Yay for you making a shaker card. You did great! I have only heard good things about the Fuse, glad you like it. I don't think it is beginners luck, I think you will be able to do it again without any problems. The heart die keeps calling my name to find one to bring home to my house to live! lol Very elegant cards Bonnie. Hugs, Brenda

  29. Visiting from seeing your wonderful shaker card at Memory Box Shake It Baby Ch. You did a wonderful job & the die is so pretty. Do not have a fuse tool. The process to make a shaker card is longer than other cards. Have a BEE-utiful day!
