Snow Day for Merry Monday



Debbie is our hostess this week.

Let's see what she chose...


I haven't made a one layer card in a long time!

My snowman looks like he's about to roll down the hill.

That could be fun!

My card is Crumb Cake and the snowman is from a 
Stampin' Up! retired set called Snow Day.
He's stamped in Whisper White craft ink.

I tore a piece of paper to use as a mask and sponged
Whisper White ink under him with a sponge dauber.

Snowflakes were stamped and blowing snow added with the dauber.

I thought it needed something else, so I stamped a tree off the side.
(I had to stamp the bottom under the bottom of the tree to get more height.)

Now it's your turn.

    One layer! Do you see me getting twitchy now?! I'll have to check out the DT's inspiration as well. I'm always confused with one layer. If you add a die cut is that still one layer? A bling? A bow? Oh my. But... I do know that your card is awesome! I love your snowy scene on kraft. Cute, cute, cute!

    Hello Bonnie: Oh my gosh, I just bought this sweet stamp set on Ebay and I absolutely love it, and now you made this adorable card, I'm going to start playing with it right away.
    This little snow man is adorable standing there while snow is falling, beautiful wintry scene, thank you so much for sharing.

    Well they did go back to school today Bonnie -- I am finishing up a card - but unfortunately it is not a one layer --

    Your snowman is so adorable Bonnie! Love the kraft background with all that snow. :) I'm not good at one layer, but I hope to play along. I got my stamp order the other day with my hot beverage stencil that I wanted to use for last week --- too late for the challenge. :( xx

    I love everything about this card Bonnie. The snowman is just adorable and I love the way that both he, and the snowflakes stand out so beautifully against the background. The addition of the green tree gives a lovely flash of colour and finishes the card off perfectly. The stamping is exquisite and I've just become your latest follower so that I don't miss any of your future creations :) x
