Blue and Yellow for The Flower Challenge

This card was inspired by a card my friend Karen did as a reminder at

Now that I've done it, I'm wondering if these are flowers or weeds?

Does God differentiate between flowers and weeds?

I'm going to hope it works for their challenge.

I started with a background piece that had been colored in the
wet on wet technique by wetting the paper a lot and
dropping re-inker drops into the water.
It had the blue and yellow.

I die cut it, stamped the flowers and cut another piece a bit larger to mat it.

A simple sentiment and another card for
Using stamping, re-inkers as my liquid colour, and die cuts
Challenge open through the 24th.

ANYTHING GOES

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  4. Very pretty. I will have to try that technique of dropping the ink on a very wet paper. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Stunning card...lovely colors. My understanding of a weed is that it is a flower in the 'wrong' place!

  10. Perfect backdrop for those flowers ...like laying in the grass and looking up :D
Great mix since there is only just a glimpse of green, that's hard to succeed.
    Beautiful CAS card xx

  11. I think they are flowers if you want them to be! I love the background, hints of a sunny day. I'd not heard of the Flower Challenge but it sounds lovely. (Not that I really need any more challenges in my list).

  17. Hello Bonnie: I'm jealous of anyone who can create a gorgeous water color wash like the one on your lovely card, it's just so beautiful and a perfect background for the delicate silhouettes of the field flowers.
Thank you for sharing your card with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, hope to see you back in the gallery again soon.

  18. What a beautiful card - a weed is only a flower in a place that we don't want it, so yes, they do 'qualify' as flowers no matter which they are Bonnie.

  19. Look like wild flowers to me -- card is simple yet striking...like wild flowers....and even some "weeds". Like the way you created the sky and sun feel with reinkers -- more control than other techniques -- and it sure does look realistic. Another good looking card!

  27. I read once that weeds are only flowers that are growing where you don't want them to. Those flowers belong on your card with that lovely blue and yellow sky.
