I just got this die in the mail. I'd been wanting it for a long time and
when we went to the mountains, I stopped at The Enchanted Cottage
for a quick trip through. They didn't have the die in, but ordered it for me
and mailed it for minimal shipping.
I love that store and wish they weren't so far from us!
I used a technique that Loll showed us in this fantastic video and
it's the subject of the Try a New Technique Challenge at Splitcoaststampers
for last week. Fortunately there is no deadline on these challenges.
Our fantastic friend, Darnell, is having another NBUS Challenge
and since this was my happy bird's first outing, I'll take him over there.

ReplyDeleteOh is this every beautiful! Love the gold and wasn't sure if that was cardstock or if you used the leafing pen but either way- gorgeous! Just had to look up the Enchanted cottage since I'll be passing through NC this October but sad to say it's way off route.

I have not seen such a great card, Bonnie! The white background and vibrating colors of a bird die on a branch create a stunning effect. I love gold brushes on the paper. The whole makes this card extremely beautiful. I think I'm going to print her picture and put it in the frame in my craft room :-)

ReplyDeleteBonnie's photos are beautiful, they have beautiful colors and beautiful light. But in the photos the card is only half as beautiful as in reality !! This is a real work of art! I sit and look at all the details and I can not believe that this miracle was created by human hands. And I can not believe that this miracle is in me now !!
