It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up
and this month, I'm the host.
First, here's my card.
and here's the challenge
My card uses stamping, watercolor wash, heat embossing with emboss resist technique.
I used a stamp that my dear friend Nance (Soul Stampin') gave me for my birthday.
Thanks again, Nance!
I stamped it on a piece of mixed media paper cut at 4" x 5 1/4"
with white pigment ink and heat embossed it.
The embossing helps to hold the watercolor inside the design.
This stamp is perfect for that because the frame is a part of the stamp.
I wet the design area so there was a good sheen but not puddles
and dropped watercolor onto it. Using an Aqua Painter, I spread
the color then dropped more color onto the center of the flowers.
For my color I used Seedless Preserves ink applied to my palette with
a little water dropped onto it.
Easy and fun!
There are videos on the challenge site. I found them to be very helpful!
Our very talented Design team is joined by Cathy R. this month
as our Guest Designer.
Be sure to check out their creations too. They are bound to inspire you!
I hope you'll join us at
CAS Mix Up.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!
