I'm seeing lots of people around Blogland keeping up with
their stash of Christmas cards.
Me too. I'm trying to do two a week.
So far so good.
For my first card I used a piece of deli paper that my friend Nancy had sent me.
I crinkled it up, flattened it out and sponged ink on it. It was in my UFO box
and so was the die cut. My friend Susan had sent me that die cut.
For my second card I used a piece of decorative paper and
cut some snowflakes out of pieces of Glimmer Paper.
The die cut Noel was already cut and so was the frame.
I love that I'm using up some of those bits and pieces although it doesn't seem like
that stash of stuff is getting any smaller!

Beautiful cards Bonnie!! Love thise snowflakes. Don't you know that stashes of 'bits' multiply when you turn your back - all sorts of shannigans go on when the craftroom door is shut!

I love rummaging in my UFO box, and once a week is a great idea. You've inspired me with these wonderful winter cards. Bonnie, your snow flake background is beautiful, and great way to use up some DP on such a pretty Christmas card

So wise to make 2 Christmas cards a week to avoid (for me) last minute panic and pressure. Easier to make those cards when can enjoy it. Like the look of the snowflake ones you did -- different from each other and each very eye catching yet simple.
ReplyDeleteWOW those snowflakes look stunning esp on your first card!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining us at the Rudolph Days Challenge!

The stash will never get any smaller, I'm sure that is one of those rules/laws of physics. However, you've made two fantastic cards. I love them both, so elegant and stylish.

ReplyDeleteWe all should take a day and make cards with our UFOs, Bonnie. I'm not sure I have anything as lovely as your backgrounds and snowflakes but it sure would empty my drawer.
ReplyDeleteTwo lovely cards, Bonnie. Love both backgrounds with the snowflakes. Thanks for joining us this week at Merry Monday.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cards Bonnie! I love that die cut, so pretty and with that beautiful blue inky background you made makes it stand out even more. I also love that you keep the same cut out and just placed beautiful paper behind it, so pretty with the snowflakes! I would have never guessed to put plaid paper with a snowflake but I am so loving it! Love that NOEL die cut too. Is the card base embossed? Kinda looks like it could be. Isn't that the truth, my stash of bits and pieces never seems to get any smaller either! lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWow! These are both gorgeous.
