We don't get much snow in NC so when it does, I get excited.
It's so pretty!
It reminds me of fun times going sledding as a kid.
How's that for an intro to this card?
I used a snippet that had been stamped on watercolor paper and the color blended with a waterbrush.
I die cut the runners and front from a snippet of foil.
The pines were in the envelope with the die and seemed to add a good finishing touch.
The die is from Memory Box so I'm entering in their challenge.
I'll take my snippet sled for some fun at Pixie's Snippet Playground
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!
Card Recipe
Stamps: Festive Snippets (PB), Sanded Background (SU)
Ink: Real Red, Soft Suede (SU)
Paper: Naturals White, Champagne Foil, Mossy Meadow (SU), Watercolor (140 lb. Strathmore)

The texture you added to that sled looks fanatastic! That was such a nice touch, particularly with the metallic paper for runners. The pine branches were the perfect finish for this! Love that sled!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Grab that sled and just take off - you're never too old to go sledding. I know the snow is beautiful. Love your card Bonnie.

Great sled, love all the little elements, your snippet of watercolour paper is perfect, and love the little gold runners. So clever to have it sitting and snow hills. Hope the weather doesn't cause too much problem:)
ReplyDeleteLove the dimensions that you created, Bonnie. I get excited when it snows too. (I'm living in South Korea). Thanks for sharing such delighful and pretty card.

I'm so glad you are enjoying the snow. I have been thinking of you with all this cold, snowy weather coming your way. The card is a perfect introduction to your weather and the fun sledding can be.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Bonnie - the kids have not had to go to school and my grandchildren in Raleigh are happy.
ReplyDeleteYour card is wonderful - I thought you used craft sticks!

Looks like the snow inspired your wonderfully textured die cut sled and CAS pine bough Christmas design, Bonnie. TFS...we are having pouring down rain, which is warmer and you do not have to shovel:-) Stay warm and dry. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteAdorable card that brings back great memories ... what more could you ask for??!! Love that sled ... wood panels are awesome. Enjoy the snow! xx
ReplyDeleteLots of richness in this beautiful card Bonnie. Love all the texture in that sled and the twine is PERFECT... complimenting the red sentiment. Truly a beauty! xxx
ReplyDeleteWe had snow in the Playground yesterday so you could have used your beautiful sledge! It reminds me so much of the one I had in Germany when I was a little girl - beautiful card Bonnie and lovely that you came to play!

A great design. It reminds me of the low seaside pines under which I rested last year. Only the scenery changed for the winter :-)

I think your card is just great. Lots of fun details. Brings back memories for me too. So little snow here in MN so far.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun winter card, Bonnie! I love how you placed the elements - positions, angles, colors. Enjoy the snow in NC! Hideko :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you get excited about snow, Bonnie. If you had it for months at a time you might not. ;) I love the sled. It looks like one I used to have right down to the red and white cord,
