It's the 3rd of the month and time for our
CAS Christmas Challenge
This month I'm the host and I chose
I have lots of ornament dies to choose from. Too many in fact and it took a while to
decide which one or ones to use. You'll be seeing lots of ornament cards from me this month!
Last month's holly challenge entry from Di reminded of one ornament die
I had forgotten all about. Thanks for the reminder, Di!
I die cut it from gold foil and a piece of Inka Gold smoosh and
fit the pieces back together.
The red had a blank space in it so I added some chunky white and shabby white
embossing powder and heated from below. It made it look like a vintage ornament.
The background was stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp in VersaMark
and embossed with some of that shabby white embossing powder.
The die cut pine branches were leftovers from a past project.
I did cut a frame to hold it all together and stamped and gold embossed the sentiment.
I couldn't get the shine of the ornament and the shine of the sentiment.
My camera seems to have an either/or tendency.
Silly Camera!
I hope you'll check out our
and while you're there enjoy the wonderful inspiration cards
our Design Team have created for you.
Then pull out an ornament die or stamp and join us.
I'm going to take this over to Merry Monday
where my good friend Marcia is hosting.
I hope we can consider gold a neutral!?
Enjoy!

I love clean and simple cards the best of all -- am taking a rather long break from cards etc. A lot of health issues. I tell you Bonnie, when it rains it pours.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful Christmas card - it would be pretty in water color too.
There is nothing like someone who is not doing anything to critique your work!! But the card is truly beautiful Bonnie!

I love this ornament. I have this die, but I've never used it in a fantastic way like you did it. The idea to fill the melted EP is brilliant!
