It's time for a new challenge at CAS Watercolour
I'm hosting this month and I chose
This is one of my favorite bird stamps and I had him all painted up.
It's called Snowbird and there was snow and berries on the branches.
I know how we are all yearning for spring and didn't want to post a winter bird.
So.....
I filled in the snow (which was plain paper) with a marker
and punched out some flowers to cover the berries.
The piece I punched the flowers from was a piece of
Faux Mother of Pearl so the flowers have a variegated look and a little shine.
I just had to add a dot in the middle.
I added a bit of green at the end of the branches to represent new leaves.
(I didn't do a very good job in my hurry so I thought I should explain that.)
I die cut my design image and used the larger die to emboss the card front
and placed the design on top.
I hope you'll join us at
CAS Watercolour this month.
Our Design team and fantastic Guest Designer, Stef (Perry Papercrafts)
have cards to wow you and inspire you.
Be sure to check them out!
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

You know I'll love this little birdie (he looks quite like some we see at the feeders, so good job on the coloring of his garb). Enjoyed reading how you've turned this into a spring card, and your greenery looks very artsy. I sigh over your watercoloring. If you ever do classes, let me know ahead of time! I need some. Also love the dry embossed detail outside of the die shape too. TFS & have a great week.
