Enamor Dance for CAS Mix Up

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you could stop by!

Using stamping, shaped die cuts and watercoloring.

Today's card was for a special friend who likes purple.

And also for CAS Mix Up which I'm hosting this month.

One of my favorite techniques is coloring die cuts.

I've colored with markers, Zigs, Gelatos, Distress Crayons
and sometimes I just smoosh them down into a puddle of color.

I've die cut these beautiful flowers from Tim Holtz watercolor paper.

I used a Distress marker to add color to the center of  a flower then
moved the color with a water brush.  I repeated for each flower.

If you want less intense color, you can scribble on your craft mat or palette with a marker
and pick up the color with a damp water brush.

I always end up with a lot of ink on my mat so I like to smoosh the flowers into it
for more color.

I used the same markers to ink the similar flowers to stamp in the background.

Before adhering the die cuts to the card front, I shaped them a bit and
added some clear Wink of Stella.

Maybe you can see some of the shimmer here.

Our talented Design Team and Guest Designer Susan have come up
with some wonderful inspiration for you.  Do check them out.
There are tutorials on the challenge site too in case you want more inspiration.

I hope you'll join us at CAS Mix Up.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  12. Oh Bonnie what a beauty - love the intensity of the colour on your die cuts, which really takes the eye to the whole floral bunch (Using that term loosely, pardon the pun)
