We've survived another major storm here.
So many people have lost so much.
Please keep them in your prayers and help out when and where you can.
And count your blessings.
I'm joining in at the Twofer Challenge #10 today.
I've used this sweet pumpkin from Impression Obsession for my cards.
Not much of a harvest. It was a small garden!
I moved the orange around with my water brush.
I swiped some ink on my palette and picked it up with the waterbrush to add more color.
When I was happy with the coverage, I stamped again to add back the details.
I've stacked some die cut layers and added them to a textured background.
I added some twine for extra interest but I think it's almost two much interest!
I couldn't decide where to add a sentiment so it will have to go on the inside. I'll
probably use it for a Thanksgiving card or just to celebrate fall.
For this card I inked the stamp with a WOW Embossing Pad,
stamped and heat embossed with copper powder.
I put some drops of re-inkers into the wells on a small palette and
picked up the color with my water brush to paint the pumpkin.
I rarely make a one layer card that I like, but this seemed enough to me.
I'll add this to the gallery at CAS Watercolour.
Both challenges end on the 24th.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Two beautiful cards, Bonnie. Love the twine on the first one. Both are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely lovely cards. [Bunny]
ReplyDeletesuch pretty images, the pumpkins are such sweet images :)
ReplyDeleteGood looking cards, Bonnie. Like the linen texture look of the background on the first card....and the texture of the Strathmore watercolor paper on the second card. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love IO stamps?! Your small Harvest (pumpkin of 1) is CAS perfection on both cards Bonnie! I love your coloring and especially the copper embossing on the 2nd card! Two beauties for sure!! :0)
ReplyDeleteI love both your beautiful pumpkin cards, Bonnie. We do not often add many embellishments to our CAS designs, but I really like your added twine to your 1st card. Your 2nd card is the Perfect one layer design with the textured paper and sweet watercolored pumpkin image. TFS your Twofer. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteSo Thankful you managed in the storm...again! It still has to be so stressful. Your part of the states has been hit so hard with devastation to so many this Fall.
So glad you came through the last storm okay, Bonnie. I saw the devastation in Florida on the news - what a lot of hardship for those people.
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards with that sweet little pumpkin. I especially like the "for you" one with the image offset to one side and staying so perfectly CAS. The twine and craft on the other one give a great rustic feel.
Small harvest, big impact, Bonnie. From multi-layers to a one layered card, you've shown off your pumpkin well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful pumpkin image, Bonnie. Two terrific twofers. Love the OLC... simply CAStastic! xx
ReplyDeleteThe lovely fall cards with that cute pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteFantastic harvest cards Bonnie! What a sweet image and I love the bright orange you've used. Those pumpkins really pop against the white. Perfect with the copper embossing too so it fits the CAS Watercolour challenge. xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are completely different and wonderful harvest/pumpkin cards, Bonnie! I can clearly see the difference of the way you watercolored the pumpkins in the finished images. It's so interesting!
ReplyDeleteI think the twine balances the layered frames in the background. Adding the green trim to the layers is brilliant!
And I love the simplicity of the second card! How could a long pumpkin look so pretty! It's small but it has so much impact on all the beautiful white space.
Hideko xx
I love both cards, Bonnie! I'm drawn to the simplicity of your second card. I love this style and have such a hard time doing it and leaving the white space alone. Love the doodled border on that stamp!
ReplyDeleteLove that embossing folder on the first one that makes the paper look naturally textured too!
Two great cards with this stamp. Love the CAS of the second one.
ReplyDeleteGDT
Glorious cards, both of them and a very creative take on the challenge.
ReplyDeleteThankfully you have survived the storms and sending prayers for those who haven't x.
So glad to hear ya'll didn't get any problems from Michael. So many lost power up in NC. Love these brilliantly colored punkins and how stunning your 2fer looks all matted up with the stitched frames as you've done it. Now I must check if I have this IO image! If not this one, one similar! I love punkins!
ReplyDeleteTFS & Hugs
I adore these pumpkins. Both are so different and very special... and in keeping with the CASW challenge, so smart! The orange really gives a pop of sunshine ...which so many folks probably need at your end of the world. Once hit by a gigantic storm is already too much, but twice is a total disaster (squared). I hope, somehow, help will be generous and supportive. Thinking of you. Warm hugs xx
ReplyDeleteThere's just something so warm and cozy happening with both of your cards and I think it's that subtle texture on your bases! Beautiful coloring, Bonnie. I love how you used two different ways to color the pumpkin. That sweet image lends itself to both your gorgeous layers and as a one-layer! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteWonderful image Bonnie, and awesome use of it! love your cards.
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine
Two super cards, Bonnie. What a great pumpkin stamp! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat cards. I love both versions of the pumpkin. I am very impressed with your coloring, especially pumpkin without black outlines.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
BożenA
Like this stamp image Bonnie it makes for a nice CAS cards. Glad to hear you are safe in NC.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you survived another major storm, Bon-Bon. Amen to counting our blessings! One of my blessings is you and the wonderful inspiration your card designs provide! These are both sensational even if it was a small garden! You've added lots of interest to the first with the colors, layering, and twine, but I confess your second uber CAS design stole my heart! I can see why it is an OLC you like; it's perfection! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #10! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkin cards are fabulous, Bonnie! The twine goes really well with the layers on your first card! And your OLC is pretty! Love the texture of the paper!
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see you in the Twofer gallery!
Your two single pumpkins make for a lovely (if small!) harvest, Bonnie ... especially against the delicious texture-y card! The tied twine on the first mimics the stamped frame beautifully, and the layers are a lovely way of showcasing this super image. I adore the stylish CAS-ness of your second card ... a wonderful pop of bold colour with all that glorious white ... gorgeous! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteBonnie, as much as I love your layers, and layers of love... it's that simple, lovely pumpkin that pulls at my heart strings! Both really wonderful!
