Today is the launch of another
CAS Christmas Challenge.
The very talented Christine is our host this month.
I've used a piece of salted watercolor as the sky for
my die cut silver star.
Be sure to check out the awesome entries from our Design Team
and Guest Designer, Kaja (Kajcyika crafts).
I hope you'll join us at CAS Christmas.
It's so nice to have those Christmas cards done and ready to go
when December rolls around.
And it rolls around quicker every year!

Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThis is stunning Bonnie, what a wonderful start to next years cards LOL.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to find about 50 from past years that were perfect for 2018 Christmas. As they have all gone, I had better get started early too.

ReplyDeleteThis one is so elegant, Bonnie! I'm a big fan of your dusty blue color which really represents winter. I LOVE that star die, one I haven't seen before. Beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful salted background and love that star, so elegant :)
ReplyDeleteThe purplish dark blue salted background is so beautiful, Bonnie! You got great salt results. I love how you used the star die-cut. It's pretty big but you let the salted background see through. It's a wonderful design!

What a striking card! Love the blue and silver combo and the salted wc sky, that unique die cut star and putting it in a circle, and the Verve sentiment stamp which adds class and balance. (I noticed you used it on several cards for 2018 and it really catches my eye every time). In short, all your design elements come together so beautifully for an interesting and artsy card.
ReplyDeleteVERY pretty background for that lovely star die. Love your card Bonnie!

My daughter, the artist, told me about using salt a long time ago but I filed it away and never retrieved it. You've brought it back to me with your wonderful salty background, Bonnie, and I will be trying it ASAP. The silver star looks fabulous with it.
ReplyDeleteThe salted background provides a lovely “starry” background. The silver star pops beautifully against it. Cool circle cutout design too. xx
ReplyDeletePerfect combination!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great star die cut Bonnie with all the diagonal lines on it crossing over that beautiful salty blue winter sky! Julia xx
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Bonnie! And I think it really does work better with darker colors when using the salt technique...I can see the magic in your background so much clearer than the light pink I used with my background! And the silver star is just lovely against that salted background...gorgeous card my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteGreat design Bonnie! Love your salt technique! Thanks for participating in Poppystamps "Starry Night" Challenge!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful silver star die and love the "salted" sky background, Bonnie! xx
