More Alcohol Lifting for CAS Mix Up

Hi.  There's still time to join in at
CAS Mix Up

I'm hosting the challenge this month and I chose

I pulled out an alcohol inked background from my stash.
This one was done on Photo Paper.

I used Alcohol Lift and inked up this beautiful stamp that was gifted
to me from my dear friend Loll.

It took several tries of stamping the lift ink and rubbing with a paper towel
to get a good lifted design.  The MISTI makes this possible.

Each time I lifted ink, I stamped the color onto some Neenah cardstock.

I ended up with more than one of the Neenah pieces.

Now I need to figure out what to do with the others.

I  thought the flowers need a little contrast so I took out an
ultra fine point black Sharpie and added some dots to the centers

The Design Team is joined this month by the talented Michelle.
There's some awesome designs over there.
Hope you check us out and join in at
CAS Mix Up.

  1. What a stunning effect with lifting off the ink on the left and then the stamped image on the right. Such beautiful colours and one amazing card.
Yes I took awhile practising this technique Bonnie but I have loved the challenge and learnt lots....I have never tried it on photo paper so that's my next play day x

  6. This is so pretty, Bonnie! The alcohol inked background and the lifted image are beautiful, and I love the stamped flower with the lifted ink. It's so soft and it looks like watercolored washi tape. The black accents here and there give the flower panel a finished look and the dry embossed front panel adds so much interest in a subtle way.
Thanks so much for hosting this fun challenge this month!

  7. LOVE this card Bonnie! Gorgeous AI colours ... so bright and summery. Looks amazing with the lifted impression and then having the lifted ink stamped on the other side. So creative and clever way to use the lifted ink! The bright colours really sing with the contrasing black elements. Wonderful card, my friend! xx

  11. Such a good idea to have the lifted-off image stamped next to the original - you got the image perfectly lined up. Beautiful soft colours on the right - a perfect contrast to the vibrancy of the AI background on the left. It is so elegant with the black border, strip, and twine bow for contrast.
