CAS Watercolour.
Jenny is our host this month and she chose...
I have a confession to make.
I never quite understood the color wheel theory.
I've always figured if I looked at it and it turned my stomach
that it wasn't a good combination. So I had to really study this
color wheel to get this right. Here's the wheel, in case you need it too.
I used Red-Violet and Yellow Green.
I've put the stamp in my MISTI and inked this flower with Distress markers.
After stamping, I used a damp waterbrush to pull the color to the center
of each petal. I used the same technique for the stem.
Our fantastically talented Design Team have some wonderful
inspiration for you as always and we are joined by our
equally talented Guest Designer, Anita (Stampin with Anita)
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Bonnie! You used the complementary, and tertiary colors, so the soft contrast goes well with the other elements such as the shape of the flowers, the round panels, and the delicate style of sentiment. Beautiful design, as always!

That shade of red violet is so pretty for the flower Bonnie and the complementary yellow green for the stem and such a great idea to use the same tone of red violet for the base card, and finished with the white embossed sentiment which stands out so well also love the sequins too. x

Aack, how have I gotten so behind, Bon?! I love this cool Lavina spray both here and in your post with the bird! Here the purple is dramatic and breathtaking with the white circle! I love the candy cane you did, too! And I'm so glad to know the storm has passed and you are all fine and breathing again. I can't imagine the terror and the photos come out of the Bahamas are just heartbreaking. Hugs, Dolly
