It's been a bit breezy and rainy here today.
Hurricane Dorian is off the South Carolina coast in it's slow trip up the east coast.
We've experienced some of the rain bands during the day but not
a lot of wind yet. Some areas not far from us have had tornadoes all through the day.
That makes me nervous! So far we are fine though. I pray that continues through the night
and tomorrow Dorian will be well out to sea and won't bother anybody else.
On a lighter note, here's another card using that pretty Lavinia stamp that I showed
in this post.
This time I added a die cut bird that was cut from a piece of smooshed Lindy's Magicals.
Enjoy!
Card Recipe
Stamps: Floral Spray (Lavinia Stamps), Tiny Sayings (Ali)
Ink: Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint (Distress Markers)
Paper: Neenah, Mixed Media (Strathmore 400 series)
Other: For the Birds Cutsplorations Die (Stmplrtns), Lindy's Magicals (Afternoon Delight Denim, Linderhosen Lawn), Dry Fan Brush (for grass)
I do hope you continue to be safe from Dorian Bonnie. Fingers crossed for you. Pretty card too...I like your bluebird and that wonderful stamp. xx
ReplyDeleteThat sweet delicate flower looks just great with that pretty blue bird Bonnie and I love the sentiment following the line of the stem and all grounded beautifully with that touch of green behind the bird. I do hope you don't have any worse weather conditions, especially not a tornado, but hopefully swinging out to sea soon all will be well. x
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are safe Bonnie, such frightening effect of this one :(
ReplyDeleteI love that Lavinia flower, I'm putting an order in next week when I get to Wales, I might just have to add this one :)
What a scary time you have had of it Bonnie - I hope all is calm now!
ReplyDeleteLoving your card with the gentle pun. That image is so delicate and you have used it beautifully
Blessings
Maxine
We will all be glad when Dorian is gone. Oh, what a scary monster it was.
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty card. The Lavinia stamp is great. [Bunny]
Glad you are safe and only getting rain bands and wind from Dorian. We are all praying it just goes on out to sea and leaves everyone alone. Prayers for all those that have been affected by this terrible hurricane.
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet card with the blue bird and flower spray. TFS
Nice to know you're safe and sound, Bonnie! and also to see this darling bloom again … with an Indigo Bunting no less!! Gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteHope you don't have any really bad weather from the storm.

Such a sweet card Bonnie...love that flower with the birdie perched beneath it!! And so glad to hear you are safe and that it's just been rain for you so far, and praying it stays that way!! Take care my friend. Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update, Bonnie. You have been in my thoughts with Dorian marching up the coast. I'm so glad you are safe and hope it is gone soon. This is the prettiest floral spray and adding the sweet blue bird is great.
ReplyDeleteRelieved you are safe. Sending virtual hugs and keeping fingers crossed Dorian doesn’t do any more damage.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card and that sweet bird is beautiful. xx
Bonnie, I am soooo thankful you aren't having bad hurricane problems. As someone who has spent her life on the upper Texas coast and survived Carla, Alicia, Ike and Harvey, I am always with anyone in spirit who is in the Cone. There but for the Grace of God go I. Safe passage and Shoo Shoo to Dorian! xox
ReplyDeleteSo happy you are not effected by Dorian. Hopefully it's out to sea soon and your worries will be over.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this beautiful flower image. So pretty!! And adorable with the bird. xx
So glad that Dorian has not had much impact on you so far. Fingers crossed it heads away from you.
ReplyDeleteLove the blue bird - great shading on him. And such a pretty flower stem.
Love how that cute die cut bird is sheltering under that ever so pretty flower spray x
ReplyDeleteWOW! Thank you for the great inspiration, Bonnie. Stamps Lanvinia are most often stamped with black ink, and your card shows that the use of color makes an ordinary stamp change into amazing.
ReplyDeletethank you, my Friend xx
