Azaleas for CAS Watercolour

Hey there.  I'm so glad you dropped by!

I hope you're not too lonely with all this isolation.
I'm so thankful that I can keep in touch with my family and friends
through technology.

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Watercolour.
Susan is hosting this month and she chose...
Susan says: "I am looking for SPRING flowers - not just any flowers.
So please think snowdrops, daffodils, tulips, crocuses,
apple and cherry blossom, dogwood, etc."

Our azaleas are blooming right now and they're so pretty.
Almost every yard in our area has at least one azalea bush.

Here's another card using these azaleas.  I got a little carried away
and it isn't as CAS as it needs to be.  But I still like it and want to share it.

For both cards I've used a digital image from Power Poppy
and watercolored with my Zig markers and a waterbrush.

Our Design Team along with our Talented Guest Designer, Vicky have
wonderful examples of Spring flowers to inspire you.

I hope you'll check us out and share your watercolor Spring flowers with us at

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  2. Such pretty watercoloured flowers and blue background Bonnie, and I love the semi circle shaped mat and apperture, and then the second card with that wonderful sentiment and this is a great digital image by Power Poppy. I love that the outline is very soft and doesn't take over the image. I have recently made a card with one and tried to change the colour when I ran it off so that it could be a soft grey, but for some reason it didn't seem to work. This is peerfect though and the colours are gorgeous. x

  6. You are slightly ahead of us in the spring bloomings Bonnie - I just have the crocus and one bunch of daffs in a warm corner - others along with tulips are just shooting up their leaves. Oh and our forsythia has bloomed. Your panel looks like a lovely painting what a gorgeous blend of colors on both blooms and leaves! xx

  13. You have been busy Bonnie, and both these cards are exquisite - loving the azalea flowers - i have a couple of azalea bushes, but have to shelter them from the frost or the flowers get burned :(
    Stay safe
