Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

As the stay at home orders are loosening up, I hope you continue to stay healthy.

I'm still staying at home except for an occasional trip to the grocery store
during senior hours.  Wearing a mask isn't fun and having to wipe everything down
when I get home is even less fun.  But it's worth the effort to keep that Corona Virus at bay.

These days I'm thankful for my blog, email, Face Time and Zoom so I can
keep in touch with family and friends.

I still miss my card classes though.

Enough whining!  I've had fun in the studio!

I am really enjoying these digital images from Power Poppy!

that shows how to do that.

Last week, Julie was hosting the Creative Confetti Challenge at the site
and she asked us to do some quick coloring.

"HOW TO PLAY: Choose a design, technique or layout that adds a bit of quick color to your creation. This is not the week to spend hours upon hours coloring. Show us the ways you add a quick splash of color!"

She did a video showing how to add quick color with a stipple brush.
My attempt with that technique didn't work at all.
I think there is an expiration date on those brushes.
Mine seems to have lost the ability to hold color over the past 30 or so years!

So on to plan B.

I quickly flicked some color on the petals with Copics using a light and dark
pink and very little blending, and a Warm Gray for the leaves and stems.
I did add a light gray shadow around the image. That added a little total time
but it was worth the effort IMO.

It took me longer to choose a sentiment than to color the image.

Fortunately the challenge lasts all month.  Each week one of the team puts out
another challenge.  I'm only a little over a week behind.
