Gnome for Christmas

Hi there.  I'm glad you stopped by!

This gnome die was in the NBUS box and needed to see some action.

I die cut him from watercolor paper and use Distress Markers to color him.
By using the markers directly on the die cut, I got a deep, saturated color that
I just touched with a damp waterbrush.

The beard and nose were done by swiping color on my palette and picking up
with a waterbrush.

The card base was cut twice with a tag die.  After scoring one piece just below the
top curve and dry embossing the other, I adhered the top domes together.
The scoring helps to make it stand like a card.

  18. Your coloring on that gnome is fabulous, Bonnie. I’m so into gnomes this year. They are the cutest things. Love how you did his beard. It’s often hard to get the soft shades in the beard without making it too dark or leaving it too white. Outstanding work!
