Oh Ribbon Tree

Hi there.  I'm glad you stopped by!

I have another Christmas card today.
We're almost halfway through the year and Christmas
will be here all too soon!


To make this card, I added some Sookwang tape vertically over a 
scrap of Neenah cardstock.  Then I pressed the ribbon horizontally.
When the whole piece was covered, I die cut it with a pennant die.

The ribbon has wonderful texture!

For the snowflake on top, I used a piece of canvas that is for crafts.
I'm sorry, but there are just some pieces in my bag of cork, fabric and wood
so I don't know where it came from.  I also cut the snowflake from a
snippet of crumb cake cardstock and glued them to each other a little
offside.  This time I did it intentionally! LOL

I used a larger die to emboss the card front and decorated the tree
with some red glitter glue.

    A great idea Bonnie and a very pretty tree using this gorgeous ribbon, and I love the double layer snowflake star and the red glitter glue dots on the little snowflakes on the ribbon, and a great complementary sentiment too. x

    Inspired Bonnie! I have a set of Pennant dies unused - I now shall be making lots of Christmas cards with them after seeing how lovely this turned out! x

    Fabulous ribbon tree Bonnie... looks super with the textured ribbon across the whole 'pennant' tree - two wonderful ideas - I have made trees with stripes of different coloured ribbons but definitely will be looking again at my stash....love the embossed finishing touches and the red glitter...hugs Robyn

    This is SO clever! From the photo I can see the texture and immediately had to read how you did this. I’m impressed that the die cut through the ribbon! Amazing. The embossing around the tree is a perfect way to set it off. Now this is what I call creative! Great card Bonnie!
