It's no secret that I love putting butterflies on cards.
I've used some fantastic embossing powder on these butterflies.
It adds wonderful sparkle. I added some foil too!
I embossed this butterfly with a teal embossing powder but I didn't like it.
I dipped it back into the embossing ink and used the same embossing powder
as above over top. I love the way that turned out!
My first Twofer cards this month had similar layouts so I made sure to use
very different layouts this time.

Love your sparkly butterflies Bonnie, your double embossed one is spectacular :)
ReplyDeleteFab Twofer, Bonnie - just love your glittery butterflies!! And I recognize that stick frame die - you enabled me on it years ago!! Love, love, love it with your trio of butterflies!!
ReplyDeleteNo question that these are two distinctly different designs, Bon, and I love them both! Of course, you had me at Teal and Turquoise! I used to go watch them in concert. (Sorry, the hamster's loose!) But, seriously, these are both gorgeous! That circular stitching on the e/f is perfect for an aperture design on your first card and what a great way to use that stick frame die cut on your second card! The glossified butterflies look perfect all lined up! You have so much fun and are so inspiring when it comes to your heat embossing! Thank you for that and for playing again in TCC #29! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterflies Bonnie. That embossing powder is so sparklly and bright. Such wonderful designs and layouts for both cards. xx
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful cards Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteFaith x
Your Twofers are gorgeous Bonnie and the butterflies are so sparkly and pretty. I particularly love the gold embossed geometric look to go with the gold embossed bodies and antenna of the butterflies on the first, and then the circular aperture and complementary stitched spirals to go with another very bright and pretty butterfly on the other. x
ReplyDeleteWow--I am so excited over these cards! They are gorgeous and I am a lover of b'flies on cards...so you have given me inspiration for what I am going to make in my card room today. As others mentioned, I have that stick frame die enabled by you years ago but using in the way you did in card #1 gives it a whole new use and look. Plus I am heading to my embossing powder stash to see if I have any sparkly ones. Have a good day, my talented friend.
ReplyDeleteDouble-dipping is okay with embossing powders, right? lol
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous flutterby cards, Bonnie... our 'blooming' season is upon us - first one yesterday, as a matter of fact!
=]
What gorgeous powders, Bonnie! Never saw those colors before and I love the stitched paper of the second one. Of course that stick die is one of my favorites too- perfect backdrop embossed in gold for your beautiful butterfly!
ReplyDeleteThese are both GORGEOUS Bonnie!! I am totally loving all the sparkle on both cards and the colors are FABULOUS!! Loving the design layouts too and especially all the circles on the 2nd card! Thanks so much for sharing these beauties with us at The Twofer Challenge...we love seeing you in the gallery!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteLove these 2, what wonderful sparkly butterflies and beautiful backgrounds xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards with those sparkly blue butterflies. Love the layout and design of each card. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteEspecially lovely cards, Bonnie. Sure wish I had that stick frame die. Smiling sigh.
ReplyDeleteVery different designs and both fabulous Bonnie. The glitter along with the foil looks so pretty x. Great how you double embossed the second card x.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, two lovely and different designs. The Triple butterfly card is fab, those embossed cross hatched bits are very interesting and your glittery butterflies are gorgeous. Your single butterfly is also a glitterly gem sitting in all those stitched circles...must be needing a rest after all that fluttering about. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThese twofers are simply beautiful. Love the sparkle and dimension.
ReplyDeleteWowza, these are amazing! How do you stick those little skinny dies on your cardstock? They are so cool, but a tad bit fussy to maneuver! LOVE the glitz and glitter!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous & fabulous, Bonnie! I love that you were able to capture the beauty of the embossing and foiling -- so pretty
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful these both are, Bonnie! I love the layouts and dies and the fabulous sparkle!
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful and so sparkly. That teal with the blue over it is gorgeous. I have the stick frame too but I don't know the card everyone is referring to. I'll go back and check that out.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterfly twofers, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteThe design of the first one is so unique and interesting! I love how you used the stick frames in the background! The deep teal butterfly looks amazing! Double-dip worked out so well. The matching color sequins are a shiny, whimsical finishing touch!
Hideko xx
Hi Bonnie! Sorry I've been missing... I've had a lovely time browsing through all those cards I missed... My you have been busy and every one is beautiful. Loving the shiny butterflies here. The teal is a fabulous colour! Sending hugs your way
ReplyDeleteBoth are so very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI guess we all love butterflies :-) Lovely cards, Bonnie. The first has a beautiful layout and I love both the color and the glitter of the butterflies. The second one amazed me with this pierced background with a circle cut out as a place to display the butterfly. The butterfly itself also delights.
ReplyDeletehugs,
BożenA
