Hot Summer Sunflower

Hi there, I'm so glad you stopped by.

Sunflowers are blooming around here.  They seem to love the hot Summer temps!

That's what Poppystamps is looking for this month.

I've die cut this gorgeous sunflower and colored it with Zigs and let the
color run off onto a piece of watercolor paper.  For good measure, I've spritzed the
colored flower and pressed it face down on the background too.  You can watch
Kathy Racoosin do this technique here.

Sunflowers always make me smile.  I hope this makes you smile too!

A big thank you to Poppystamps for my win last month.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Gorgeous card Bonnie - love the background. I am working on 3 cards now with the same kind of background only I made the background with a stamp not a die.
One of your very best cards and the background is perfect with this die.

  11. This is a stunning card Bonnie! I love this sunflower die and you have watercolored it beautifully. I love that you used some of the color from it to do your background as well. Will have to watch Kathy R. do that in the video you linked. I love sunflowers too, love when I see a whole field of them. They used to plant whole fields of them around here, but not for a long time now. I miss them. Yes, they do make you smile don't they?!! Hugs, Brenda
