I did a little Print Making while watercoloring this die cut. The yellow is
much softer than it shows in the photo. Sometimes.......
I'm coming late to the CAS(e) this Sketch challenge but I love this sketch and had to
squeeze in some time to play. Then I veered from the sketch a bit. I hope not too much.
The colors were inspired by a new challenge
Yellow and green is one of my favorite color combinations.
Penny Black Saturday Challenge has an option of your
favorite colors. So I'll add this there too.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Beautiful birthday flowers, Bonnie, and I love the soft print behind!!
ReplyDeleteI love the print making technique and this turned out beautiful. It gives the greatest background and the yellow flower is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSo soft and pretty Bonnie! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteThe printmaking technique created the perfect background for those stunning yellow die cuts! I love the subtle watercolor on the sentiment banner and the narrow yellow frame, as well. A simply lovely card. Thanks for joining us for the first Color Hues Challenge. I hope we'll see you frequently!
ReplyDeleteOh Bonnie this came out fabulous and so realistic looking! I can see you carried the flowers to the inside as well. I so appreciate you joining us for our first challenge over at Color Hues!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful bright die cut flowers Bonnie and I love the print in the background made from the flower, and some pretty clear sequins which finish it perfectly. x
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful print making background card. Fabulous use of the colour hues.
ReplyDeleteBonnie I really struggle with this colour combo but now think I should give it a try after seeing your beautiful card :)
ReplyDeleteLoving the delicate background and the pop of pretty yellow with those fabulous poppies x. Fabulous take on the sketch too Bonnie x.
ReplyDeleteYou do such a fabulous job with this technique resulting in the perfect background for your gorgeous flowers. This one is just beautiful. I sure don’t see where you veered from the sketch. It looks spot on to me!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Bonnie! and your veering from the Sketch isn't too far at all! Thanks for sharing your favorite colors with us this week!

Love that pastel background for those gorgeous blooms. The loose paint gives such a beautiful watercolour appeal to this card. I really like the softness to this jewel. xx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty -- I have tried to do the printmaking background only I used a stamp instead of a die cut. What I like about your background is the fact that it looks more shadowy and not so much the image. Love it Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Beautiful Bonnie. I LOVE this PB poppy die. Gorgeous in yellow and great prints in the background. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Your yellow is wonderful, we'll take it any way we can get it. And that print making -- wow! I water color on top of another sheet and let the colors flow but I REALLY like this method more
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the wonderful CAS design! Thank you so much for playing along with our first challenge over at Color Hues! <3
