Gelli Print Leaves

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Last week the very talented Heather Telford shared a video technique
using a Gel Plate, Acrylic paint and Leaves from her garden.

I loved her results both on this post and here and decided to give it a try.

I was thrilled with the results.

I have very few colors of acrylic paint (but more are on the way).
With my limited colors and some leaves from my lantana plant,
I was able to get some good results.  A first for me with a gelli plate!

Thanks so much, Heather for sharing your awesome talent with us!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  2. This is stunning. The leaves just pop and have so much dimension and definition to them. Another thing I don't know about but will investigate. I love that you try all these things out and share results.

  9. Oh my, Bonnie! I have no knowledge, or experience with a gelli plate, but you sure have me wishing I had one! Your Lantana leaves were such a perfect size for this technique!
Beyond beautiful, my friend! I can't wait for your new colors to arrive!

  10. Wow! Yours came out beautiful. I must have watched that 4 times and had a ball playing. I did not get that great definition you achieved with my Japanese maple leaves but I sure had a lot of fun with it. I plan on doing more! I love your framing of these. They turned out so perfectly! Oh for more colors I sometimes use just white paint and reinkers. Works great!

You have inspired me, I love leaves, can't seem to not buy more leaf stamps or dies, so I must go out in the yard and bring in some of my own leaves and try this technique!! Heart Hugs, Col

  21. You got great results using this gelli plate technique Bonnie and the picked leaves have such a pretty pattern on them which has come out brilliantly, and the yellow and green backgrounds set both cards off beautifully. I saw Heather do this and thought I might give it a try, but haven't got around to it yet. x
