I'm Guest Designing for Penny Black Saturday Challenge again.
It's such an honor to be a part of that fantastic team!
This challenge is Anything Goes with an option of Your Favourite Colours.
I love so many colors that I can't pick an actual favorite.
Yellow and red always appeal to me. They seem so warm and friendly.
I've stamped one of the birdhouses from one of my NBUS sets onto
mixed media paper, heat embossed and watercolored with Distress Markers and a waterbrush.
I added a bit of doodling around the die cut square and popped on some
die cut branches.
Do check out the Design Teams fabulous creations and join in.
While I had the set out, I used the other birdhouse.

Great to see you guesting over at Penny Black and two great cards using these pretty birdhouses Bonnie. I love the square on its end and the added white foliage to decorate the bright and pretty image, and that little extra doodling around the frame gives it a folk art feel which goes brilliantly with the design. x

ReplyDeleteBoy it looks as if I am late to the party again. I have always liked Pennsylvania Dutch folk art and this holds with the wonderful use of bright and clear primary colors. I would love to have that birdhouse hanging in my yard. I also love the way you designed that card.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest Bonnie, I think PB is lucky to have you!!!
