Geometric Foil Christmas Tree

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

There's a new challenge out there,

It's all about embossing folders of which I have a LOT.
This looks like lots of fun Gail & Jo!

This is their first challenge...

I pulled out a piece of green foil cardstock then went through my embossing folders
to find something geometric.

I settled on an old Stampin' Up! embossing folder with diamonds,
embossed the foil and sanded the top a bit to highlight the raised design.

You can see the shine here.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe

  2. Great Christmas card with pretty shine and texture. I'm happy to see embossing folders coming in to their own after being shunted aside for newer products. I love using our older beloved purchases.

  18. This sounds like a fun challenge Bonnie! I have so many embossing folders and need to start using them again. I loved them for a reason, but for some reason kinda' stopped using them. I love all the embossing you have going on on this card, the background wood is such a pretty back drop for that gorgeous embossed tree! Hugs, Brenda

  24. Wish we were neighbours, a cup of warm coffee and some dry embossing would be fun. You definitely have a beautiful collection of EF, best yet, you brilliantly know how to put them to their best use. A beautiful card.

Extra work of sanding a top a bit makes a big difference. The curly silver thread is a really nice touch.
