Blogger Deleted my Design Honors Page

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I just added some design honors to my honors page and got this email from Blogger

   Hello,

As you may know, our Community Guidelines
(https://blogger.com/go/contentpolicy) describe the boundaries for what we

My friend Darnell had this happen a few days ago so I was careful not to add a link to
the challenge site and used badges already used in my page.

Be careful about adding anything to your blog!

And if you can figure out how to get in touch with BLOGGER, please let me know!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  1. I am so sorry this happened. I don't pretend to understand blogger. I know it is a wonderful way to connect with other people and I sure don't want anything to happen to it.

  2. How utterly ridiculous Bonnie.
Did you just add the images or is it because you added the hyperlink to the image to take you to either the challenge blog or your own post?
If it's because you linked to someone else's blog we'd better all be careful.

I am thankful that I have recently completely neglected my Honours page - and even if I am fortunate enough to get any more I won't add them now that you have pointed out what happens. x

  3. Thanks for sharing this Bonnie....I have read Brenda's and Viv's comments and couldn't agree more.
We 'just' make cards and share ideas, inspiration etc and we 'link' when we need too and it worries me where this is going....x
    Thanks again bonnie x

  4. I've had this message too. And you are right--who knows where blogger help is out there in the cloud unavailable.

  5. I think the same thing just happened to Darnell. What Viv said makes sense. I also haven't kept up with my awards/honours page.
    So frustrating XXX

  6. I suspect this is because you are using a page as way of displaying your awards Bonnie. The bots monitoring blogs are possibly looking for pages without much text but lots of links to other sites??! I don't even pretend I understand any of this but it is sad and I'm so sorry it has happened to you and Darnell. Hugs, Vicky x

  7. They must be making a big sweep of blogs if you got the same letter just three days later, Bon. I'm so sorry this happened to you, too. It scares me to think that my whole blog may be next because I use links all the time. Thanks for helping to spread the word. Hopefully someone with answers will be in touch with one of us! Love, Dolly

  8. Boooo....I have no idea how to help you but it just goes to show you how Big Tech is watching. Even us little gals are not immune.

  9. This seems totally rediculous and the whole idea is to be able to connect with other people and we used links all the time to enter challenges, so what does this mean for the future. So sorry Bonnie that you and Darnell have both experienced this problem and they haven't even explained properly what the problem was. x

  10. Oh My Goodness Bonnie - that is horrific!
I had my whole blog blocked from facebook, and I was unable to comment on IG. I ended up creating a totally different ID for both, but it still took me over 12 months to be able to link my blog to my facebook page...
I do hope that this is resolved soon!
    Stay safe
    Blessings

  11. Incredible, it's probably easier to do what they want to us "little" people just enjoying a hobby. Crazy!

  12. Bonnie, I won't pretend to know how to remedy this. But somehow someone attached malware to that badge. Have you contacted them?
So sorry - I'm sure it was chock full of honors, my friend!

  13. So sorry this happened to you and to Darnell. It is a shame that we can't just enjoy our craft and share inspiration with each other.

  14. That is terrible. I sure hope Blogger can get this fixed. Most of us have Design Honours pages on our blogs. I'm so sorry, Bonnie.

  15. What is going on???? I just read about this on Darnell's blog. Scary! I just now backed up my blog. I do not have an awards page, but have a few badges with links in my sidebar. It's such a common practice, they'd have to delete all blogs if the badges were a problem, so I'm thinking Vicky may be right about a page with a bunch of links and not much text. Yikes!

  16. wow...scary. I really don't understand any of it....I don't have an awards page, just some things along the sidebar.
I would imagine trying to get in touch with them would be monumental.
good luck, I honestly wouldn't have a clue as to what to do.
    xx karen

  17. I find this all very depressing - being censored when your post was all perfectly innocent - no cursing or any other vulgar content. And you certainly are not political. What is it we live in now - the cancel society? To be honest, I find it quite alarming. So much for free speech!

  18. Ugh! Bummer for ALL of us with this threat looming but worse for those already hit! I do have the same question as Pat though, how are we to do challenges if we can't link to those challenges? And what about that virus attached to the badge? How are we going to know until too late?

  19. You too Bonnie?!!! It almost sounds like Google was hacked or is having a glitch as why would adding anything appropriate to your blog cause this? Crazy, crazy, crazy! I hope y'all find answers soon and can get back your pages. I don't get it, but then I don't know much. Makes me nervous to even make a post! Hugs, Brenda

  20. Sorry this happened to you as well Bonnie! It's so devastating. xx

  21. What a bummer! Never got around to doing a separate page for wins & now I'm glad I didn't. I could handle loosing the wins, but if they delete my blog I'll really be sad.

  22. Bonnie, I'm so sorry that this happened to you and Darnell... It must be devastating. They should have at least given you a heads-up before they deleted your Design Honors page. ;-(
    Thank you for sharing!

  23. You and Darnell are scaring me but then I know you are scared too. I haven't kept up with my honors page or the ones on my sidebar. I guess we need to keep these things to ourselves or at least not link them back to our blog.
