Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Happy New Year 2022!
It's time for a new challenge at CAS Mix Up.
My talented friend Jenny is hosting this month's watercolor challenge.
I've used a NBUS stamp from Penny Black and my new
Silver Black Velvet brushes with some Daniel Smith watercolor dots (an awesome
Christmas present!) to color the image after stamping with Warm Glow ink.
My "painting" was mostly dabbing with lots of water to get the loose look.
It's a fairly large image and honestly wasn't that great, but I was able to
die cut a couple of squares out of it.
Here's the other card...
Here's the shine from the gold foil and embossing.
I lost some of the details with the watercoloring and since the stamp
was still in the MISTI, I inked with Distress Markers and stamped again.
Then I used Caran d'ache Supracolor Pencils to add highlights to the
watercolored images.
Jenny has added a variety of great tutorials on the challenge site and the
fabulous Design Team as well as our Guest Designer, Karen (Random Reflections)
have some awesome inspiration for you.
Hope you'll join us at CAS Mix Up

Love this challenge and I love all those cards! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! Your loose watercoloring is gorgeous. Love the shiny gold foil.
ReplyDeleteSuch amazing two cards, Bonnie. I have been fascinated by this technique for a long time, but I cannot control the mixing of colors as much as you do. Your watercolor is clean and at the same time loose creating such sensual images. I admire your watercolor skills, Bonnie !!
