This was my fourth try with this stamp! Then I messed up the bird. %*&#
So the bird has been stamped again, fussy cut and perched on the branch.
I've heat embossed the branch, leaves and berries with clear powder so they
look quite icy when the light hits them just right.
He's winging his way to my Aunt for her 90th birthday.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you restamped and fussy cut the bird to save your card - it's so lovely. Wonderful watercolouring of that sweet image. Love the twine over on the right side - it really suits the image and the brown border and ink.

ReplyDeleteYou've created a wonderful card, Bonnie. I can understand that there was some hard words after you've messed up the bird. Great idea to fussy cut the bird. Water coloring of the whole motive is fantastic. Your aunt will be happy to get such a beautiful card.

ReplyDeleteI am glad you persevered as this is gorgeous. The bird looks perfect on his little branch. I do share your frustration though. Sometimes things just don't want to work right. Thanks for all your visits to me and lovely comments. I too am catching up. I have reviewed your lovely creations you posted last week I particularly love the snowy tree. Things going wrong is all part of crafting isn't it but we always think of the fun and never the frustration!! ReplyDeleteHow good it is that sometimes we fail and then create something really big, Bonnie. By chance, you managed to create something even more Beautiful. I can imagine how beautiful a twig and berries coated with a layer of "ice" glisten in the sun.
