Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Our hearts are heavy in central North Carolina right now.
The tragedy of mass shooting came to our area. Five people dead, plus the gunman and
another in critical condition. The most tragic thing about this situation is that the gunman
is 15 years old. My heart breaks for all these families involved and the neighborhood
where this took place.
Praying for peace.
These lilies were embossed with Altenew's 3D Embossing folder and colored using

OH! What an awful situation Bonnie, I agree so sad for all families involved, makes you wonder why?
ReplyDeleteI love your card, beautiful colours and the die cut is gorgeous too. The EF is so detailed, shown off by your colouring.

It's the saddest part of our reality these days - we'll all be touched by this horrific tragedy at some time it seems. Such unnecessary loss is so hard to comprehend.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, your card is a beautiful way to send peace to those in need.
Holding you in my heart extra closely today. x

WOW! What incredible shading on this! Outstanding work, Bonnie. So terribly sad to learn of that tragedy. What a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens in a 15 year olds life that he does this. It's terrifying and it's everywhere. I'm so sad for the families involved. This is a lovely card to share peace. We need it all around the world.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card with a beautiful prayer, Bonnie - so sorry this has happened again!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and peaceful -- just what we all wish for those affected by the senseless tragedy. However, this card is sure to bring some of that peace to the recipient
ReplyDeleteYour coloring is amazing and really brings that flower to life! We need to pray for the world right now; so much tragedy all over. Often I just don't want to listen to the "news".
ReplyDeleteYour lilies are just beautiful and perfect with that sentiment. I am so sorry to hear about your local tragedy. These things are such a mystery and yet they keep happening. They don't even get reported over here now unless the numbers are really high. So many peoples lives ruined xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful embossed and coloured lilies Bonnie and how sad for all impacted by this tragedy..one asks oneself 'why'? x
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I heard about the shooting, Bonnie. We all hope it won't touch our lives but inevitably it does to some degree. Your lily of peace is gorgeous. Don't you just love the embossed/stencil combination?
ReplyDeleteOh Bonnie - how sad for all concerned . A beautiful card, and your colouring of the embossed image is amazing
ReplyDeleteBlessings

I read about that mass shooting in your area - so heartbreaking and tragic, as are all the mass shootings. It is a nice antidote to see your lovely card after you wrote about that. Beautiful colouring on those gorgeous flowers.
ReplyDeleteSo tragic to see another mass shooting in the US. Your Lillie’s are beautiful and a lovely way to wish for peace.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card Bonnie, but I'm so sad that this tragedy has touched your community...and sadder yet that it will touch all of us at some point. I just keep wondering what happened to the sanctity of life? When did we become so hardened and careless about life?? I can't even say my thoughts and prayers are with you without it sounding rote and meaningless anymore because it's been said over and over and nothing changes. All I can say is I know that God hears our cries and still profoundly LOVES each and every one of us. PEACE...such a beautiful word in the midst of so much sadness. Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI also read about the shooting in your area. So very sad.
ReplyDeleteLove your gorgeous card Bonnie! So lovely.

A terrible tragedy, Bonnie. Unfortunately, young people often cannot cope with reality. Even adults have a growing problem to deal with all the problems that accumulate before us in everyday life. This is a beautiful peace wish card. I love how you colored this lily!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

ReplyDeleteWhat a tragedy... I can't imagine what the victims' families are going through, and it's terribly sad that the suspect is only 15 years old.
ReplyDeleteYour prayer and thoughtful Peace card message will be heard by those involved and the neighborhood.

This was another horrific incident and it seems all too commonplace lately. I cannot get started on that rant. It's incredibly sad. If only the whole world could feel the peace and beauty your card evokes. Thank you, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteAnother tragedy that is sadly happening far too often. What is happening to our country and our young people. You're in my thoughts and prayers, Bonnie. Your card is touching and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dry embossed and stenciled watercolored lilies and Gorgeous Peace sentiment, Bonnie. So sorry for the tragedy in your area...If only Peace World Wide could be possible. Take care and know your card will bring peace of mind to the recipient. Love and Big Hugs dear friend. Nancy
ReplyDeleteBonnie, its a beautiful card. The sentiment carries a powerful message. I am at a loss to understand why these things happen.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, a beautiful card for such a tragedy ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the colors of red on the Lilies.
ReplyDeleteThe shooting took place fairly close to where my daughter lives. The "greenway" is a very popular area for walkers.
It is amazing to me all the different techniques you know and do so well not to mention all the different mediums you use.
