Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
As Christmas fast approaches, I find I have very little time for cardmaking.
When I find time in the studio, I'm busy doing 2023 calendars.
I can't wait to share them with you in the coming year.
Today though is for the Flower Challenge.
Christmas cards wouldn't be complete without using my well loved
Spellbinders poinsettia die.
Do you recognize the leaves? They're from the Pinkfresh Birds on a Branch.
They've been foiled and die cut. The sentiment is foiled too.
Sorry for the quality of the picture. It's so hard to photograph foil.
This one is probably more about the sentiment than the flower.
I used the same Spellbinders die with this wonderful sentiment from Rubber Necker.
Now, back to the calendars...

Love both of your beautiful cards. The poinsettias are so pretty and I especially love the sentiment on the 2nd card. Thanks for sharing these beauties.
ReplyDeletetwo gorgeous cards Bonnie, those flowers are gorgeous, the red really pops and the white is a perfect addition to that wonderful Christmas sentiment ♥
ReplyDeleteThese red and white poinsettias are gorgeous Bonnie and I love the foiled leaves and sentiment, and the silver thin frame around it, and the wonderful seasonal words with the pretty white poinsettia and pine branches up and below it, and the mat and layered stitched frame around it on this slimline card is just brilliant. I'm looking forward to seeing a page of the calendar each month during the coming year. x
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful poinsettia cards! Love the foil, the thin frame, and the dry embossing on the first. And the sentiment on the second one is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteTwo more gorgeous Christmas cards, Bonnie. I loved both cards and thought you got a better than normal photo of the shine from the foil on your 1st card:-) I have my cards mailed out now and am working on baking and going to town to visit dear friends and family bearing plates of crumbcakes:-) The visiting is so special too:-) Wish we were close enough to visit, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteTwo more beautiful Christmas cards. I love that poinsettia die, too! Unfortunately, I completely forgot to add it to my order again TODAY! - UGH!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards Bonnie - the sentiment on the second one is amazing

These are both GORGEOUS Bonnie, but then how can a Poinsettia be anything but BEAUTIFUL?! I love all the foiling and the leaves in your first card and along with the red Poinsettia it just makes for a STUNNING card against the white embossed background! And while your white Poinsettia in the 2nd card may be a little more understated than the 1st card, that sentiment is AWESOME and totally compliments the rest of the card...LOVE it! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, beautiful Poinsettias! LOve the deep rich red - aren't you the clever one to find another use for those foiled leaves?! Your lovely white is happy to play second fiddle to this gorgeous sentiment - it is all about the words, which are so important at Christmas, Bonnie - thank you!

Love the poinsettia and your gorgeous cards Bonnie.

The gorgeous red poinsettia takes my breath away, Bonnie. Using those leaves to trail down was a stroke of genius. Thanks for sharing that one with us at The Flower Challenge. The white one is also beautiful and perfect to let the sentiment be the focal point.
ReplyDeleteYou always make such gorgeous poinsettia cards, Bonnie! These two look amazing & I love the sentiment on card two!!
ReplyDeleteThere are both just gorgeous, Bonnie! Love the red poinsettia and I'm partial to the white one too with that fabulous verse! You do a fantastic job of the flower forming, something I could never get quite right.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poinsettias! I love the white one just as much as the red. Gorgeous cards.

These are just stunning Bonnie, the design, that beautiful poinsettia and the sentiments. Thank you for joining us at The Flower Challenge DT Aileen
ReplyDeleteBonnie, two beautiful Poinsettia cards. So much texture and the foiled accents. And I love the skate and sled cards below this post. So pretty. Lovely, cards Bonnie. Merry Christmas to you my friend.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful poinsettia cards Bonnie. LOVE the foiling on your first card. But for some reason, that sweet white poinsettia with the pine branches really steals my heart. :) xx
ReplyDeleteBoth of your poinsettia cards are so pretty Bonnie! Love the rich colors on the first card and that embossed background. The sentiment really steals the show on the second card, but the poinsettia draws the eye right into the sentiment. The greens are so real looking! Love them so much. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired and enabled as I so often am when I come here. This is not the first time I've been struck by the soft beauty of your evergreen boughs. It's perfect with the white poinsettia. Love that long sentiment for a slimline. How fun and pretty to use the Pinkfresh leaves with the gorgeous red poinsettia. You're getting your money's worth from that stamp!
ReplyDeleteThey are both just stunning. Sorry for my late visit, it is hard to keep up at this time of year with so much to do. I am slowly getting there xx
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful poinsettia cards Bonnie - particularly love the white one! xx
ReplyDeleteBoth poinsettia cards are gorgeous, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteWonderful use of the leaves from the Birds on a Branch set. The pop of red against the diamond textured white background is so pretty, and so is the shine of foiling. I love how you decorate the wonderful sentiment with the white poinsettia of the second card.
I can't wait to see beautiful pages of your 2023 calendar!
Hideko xx
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Both of them! Wow, so pretty, Bonnie
ReplyDeleteIn the first card you cleverly used gilded elements from another set. The combination with this beautiful poinsettia looks really dazzling. And the second card, so elegant in white with monochromatic green elements and white poinsettia. Two wonderful Christmas cards

I love the rich red color on the white background. And your embossed background is perfect - not too busy that it takes away form your Poinsettia. Love the silver framing - gorgeous card Bonnie!!
