Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
This is on the way to a sweet friend not only to thank her for her generosity
but to bring back memories of a fun time together playing with this set.
It's also a thank you to all of you who sent beautiful Christmas cards over the holidays
and who visit my blog and leave such encouraging comments. Hopefully my friend won't
mind sharing this with you.
The die cut has been colored with Tombow Markers with some help from my
Real Red Stampin Up marker.
I'm sad that they've discontinued Distress Markers. The Tombows act differently
and are taking some getting used to.

Oh, my goodness those look so real, Bonnie! Gorgeous job coloring them and aren't those embossing folder sets with the dies just wonderful?

I have always loved the contrast of clear sharp colors with black and white. It looks as if I could reach right out and pick those berries. I have said many times before, the cards me and my card making friends made had everything on it but the kitchen sink - it seemed like the more product you could put on your card the better they liked it. And then I found Bonnie Klass who made (and makes) beautiful clean and simple cards and I knew right then and there what I wanted to do. You inspire a lot of us Bonnie. It is we who should be thanking you! I did say clean and simple but I also know with a lot of the techniques you use, there is nothing simple about it!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card that is VERY attractive!

I just adore this set of 3D EF and dies Bonnie and I love the die cut berries over the strip of embossing, with such a pretty coordinated look, and the black sentiment, matted layer and black twine to further enhance the design...a great 'thank you' card. x
ReplyDeleteSimply fabulous Bonnie. x
ReplyDeleteI love the way you colored those berries, Bonnie. I have this folder/die combo and haven't used it yet which is so unlike me. Thank you for all the inspiration you have shared over the years, my friend. Here's to many more wonderful cardmaking days ahead.

After seeing one of your previous cards with this folder I bought it for a friend. Now, of course, I'm wishing I had it, too, but can't have everything! I never tried the distress markers, but you did beautifully with the Tombows. Such a lovely crisp and simple design. I really love the black string bow with it.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year Bonnie (bit late but could be worse!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful card this is and oh my goodness you are always inspiring me to add things to my wish list! This is definitely the year of the embossing folder for me on the shopping front and this is a beauty especially when teamed with a gorgeous bunch of die cut berries. Bravo! Vicky x
