Merry Ornament

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Another Christmas card for the stash.

A sweet friend sent me this die a year or two ago.  I had cut it out from some
Neenah Solar White and wasn't sure where to go from there.  So I put it back in the
NBUS box.  I found it the other day and was determined to get it on a card.

I tried it with various alcohol inked backgrounds and decided on this one.
Fortunately, I thought to cut the piece behind the ornament from the middle so I
could use the rest as a narrow frame.  I had a little piece of leftover embossing sitting
on the table that fit behind the outcut.

I used some tiny snippets of gold foil to die cut the merry and a bow from
another set and stamped and heat embossed the wishes.

I found these little pine sprigs already cut and tucked them behind the bow.

Glad to have given this die a spin and have another Christmas card too.

Challenges:

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Endless Wishes (ret SU)
Ink:   Encore Gold
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Yupo, Gold Foil, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer
Other: Ranger Alcohol Ink (Sailboat, Indigo, Amethyst), Wplus9 Merry Ornament Shaker, Mini Sprig Cover Die (Ton), Gold EP, Whirl Wreath (PB)

Enjoy!

  12. Your blue alcohol ink on that ornament is incredible! That ornament could even stand alone without embellishment just because of that rich color! This is just beautiful, Bonnie! Love this and makes me want to bring out alcohol ink again.

  13. Gosh, it's pretty! I'm sure any of your AI backgrounds would look good with it, but the blue is a perfectly chilly color to go with your snowy branches. Love that little bit of matching background peeking around the edges. Beautiful, Bonnie!
