It's a busy week here so this will be a quick post.
I wanted to join in at Peace on Earth and I'm about to run out of time.
Here is the mood board.
I was inspired by the bottom left corner.
I die cut the poinsettia from red cardstock and sponged a bit more red for shading. I shaped
the petals with my fingers and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops for the center. There are lots
of other floral and leafy die cuts with this set and I used a couple of them to tuck in around
the flower.
A little embossing and a foiled sentiment finish this off.

ReplyDeleteI love this pretty poinsettia Christmas card, Bonnie! The red poinsettia pops beautifully against the green and white background. The poinsettia embossed background is subtle but adds so much interest to the background. The shape of the card is awesome too.

Amazing how there can be so much to love about your card with its relatively simple design. The poinsettia is a stand out against the embossed white, and perfectly framed within the layered arches. Just lovely!
