Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Chilly and Freezy came to live with me last Christmas and got set aside
into my NBUS box where they waited patiently to come out to play.
I had these backgrounds left over from my Christmas card class and decided that these
fun characters would fit perfectly.
I've die cut and colored all the pieces with Copic markers then popped them on top
of the backgrounds that had been die cut. We used a circle and brushed with ink for the sky.
On the second card, I stamped the "snow" with a Gorgeous Grunge stamp
and embossing ink, then embossed with white powder for a snowy look.
One more to use up the backgrounds. This time I added a sleigh die that's been in my
collection for years. I cut one layer from darker red and the top layer from bright red.
Challenges:
Christmas Craft Creations - Add a Hat
Christmas Kickstart - Christmassy

These are adorable! I give you credit for fussing with all those fiddly bits of the snowman, LOL! The end results are just precious! BTW, my hubby LOVED your Christmas card we received!♥
ReplyDeleteLove the scarfs your snowmen are sporting and the hats are pretty cool too. Bring on the snow - we will probably have some pretty chilly weather here in Northern Florida but no snow. Merry Christmas Ms Bonnie!

Marcia was here for a play day recently and left the other two of this family for me to play with - I call them Stumpy and Stretch... you'll see them soon! Until then, please tell me HOW in the world I haven't met Chilly and Freezy before?? THEY ARE SOOO FUN! Bonnie, you have created the cutest little places for them to live!
ReplyDeleteYour sleigh is so beautiful - Mr. Hedgehog might have fit right in there! But he's adorable all on his own!
=]
This pair always makes me smile! They look right at home on those pretty backgrounds. That fancy sleigh does too. Your class card is adorable! I love the hedgie looking up at the star! Very merry cards today, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely - I wonder what they're saying? They remind me of my hubby and a neighbour when they are chewing the fat over something! Great cards, Bonnie, and I'm so having to see you joining the fun at Christmas Kickstart, Jo x
ReplyDeleteAll three cards are beautiful and so impressive that you can use "leftovers" to make them! Very pretty, great techniques on all of them and a wonderful headstart for your stash
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had leftovers to inspire these wonderful cards, Bonnie. I did a few blue backgrounds that didn't work out for the Go7 so I just may use them to CASE your cards. I may also use your idea to use alcohol markers to color the scarves and hats. That seems so much easier than getting out all the colored scraps.
ReplyDeleteYour card are adorable. Love the cute snowmen and the great backgrounds you have for each card. Love the card you made in class also. Thanks for sharing these.
ReplyDeleteThat class was obviously very productive. Love how you have used those backgrounds and your snowmen really cheer up that chilly wintry scene xx
ReplyDeleteOMG...Your scrappy Chilly and Freezy characters and die cut sleigh are Perfect for your circle sky backgrounds, Bonnie:-) Love how you used a stamped and heat embossed image for falling snow..really looks like snow, my friend. I have finished making and sending all my Christmas cards for 2023, but your cards are great ideas for starting my 2024 stash:-) TFS and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year..Love and Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteLove the use of the die cuts on your beautiful backgrounds. Who doesn't love a hedgie and like Chilly and Freezy and that so cool sled. Three terrific cards, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty snowy scenes to accompany your cute snowmen and love the blue and purple, and then the red and green for the hat, earphones and scarves, and two lovely sentiments to finish. x
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the leftover backgrounds! Wonderful choice of die cuts to add to the cards - they really step up what would otherwise just be a simple snow scene.
ReplyDeleteI love your snowmen ... they are so adorable, Bonnie! I might have to do some shopping. :) Your sleigh is gorgeous ... love that you can make it two-toned.
ReplyDeleteAnd the original card from class with the hedgie is so sweet! What a great way to use up your backgrounds left from class. xx
Awwwwwwwww...Chilli & Freezy look ADORABLE on your circle backgrounds Bonnie, and what a great way to use them up!! I think I only played with Chilli & Freezy once last year, but after seeing your sweet creations, I just may have to pull them out again! Of course the new "Walter" is sitting on my desk waiting too...too many fun things to play with and not enough time...grrrrrr!! Anyway, loving ALL your sweet cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to showcase Chilly and Freezy AND use up the backgrounds! Love that star too. Vicky x

Chilly and Freezy are adorable. I’m sure they didn’t mind waiting a year to come out to play. Wonderful cards.
ReplyDeleteI can be Chilly and you can be Freezy as it's probably colder there than here. I love each on of these cards and the great backgrounds too! The little hedgehog is darling too! What a fabulous group of cards and a very inspirational post!
ReplyDeleteAll your circle backgrounds are wintry and wonderful, Bon! I love how you added Chilly and Freezy (so fun!!) (and the cute hedgie with the Santa hat) to each one in order to make them cheery and adorable! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Happy Holiday Hugs! Dolly
