It's a Merry Monday day and this week it was my turn to choose the challenge.
I chose.....
I had this ornament stamp in my NBUS stash and welcomed the opportunity to use it.
The ornaments were simply stamped in Encore Gold and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. All that remained was matting it with some of that gorgeous metallic paper (still available), a little dry embossing and some colored rhinestones.
I wish the photo showed the bright colors of the rhinestones, but I couldn't seem to capture them correctly. The big one is bright red, not orange. LOL, don't you hate it when red turns orange?
I did it again on watercolor paper and decorated with gold beads and organdy ribbon.
Rudolph Days is on the 25th of each month. This year, Sarn has challenged us to make 2 Christmas cards for each challenge. Both need to be on the same post.
52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown is asking for DOUBLE EMBOSSING. I have both heat and dry embossing on the first card although not on the same image. I'm not sure if this is correct, but I'm going to enter there and see.
Christmas Card Challenge #9 is ANYTHING GOES. So I'll hop over there.
We had so many beautiful cards entered in the gallery at Merry Monday last week. Lots of people are getting started on that Christmas card stash. It's never too early to start!
I hope you'll put an ornament or ornaments on a Christmas card and come join us. You may end up being our next Guest Designer!
Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!

I can't beleive you never used this stamp before, Bonnie! It is just gorgeous and I love your gorgeous creations! It looks so pretty embossed in gold, and equally pretty with gold embellies and colored rhinestones.
ReplyDeleteWow, so simply beautiful! Love the gold on ivory!
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie . . . thanks for entering these two golden beauties into Rudolph Day. LOVE THEM.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarn xxx
Beautiful cards Bonnie, love the bling and ribbon
ReplyDeleteSIMPLY gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Bonnie. The gold embossing makes them so elegant.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do hate when my colors change. And, I've discovered some are worse about it than others.
Loving your gold and white ornaments card, very elegant. I'm debating over stamped or die cut ornaments for Merry Monday. I did poinsettias for Rudolph. I hope he doesn't eat them!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are simply gorgeous, Bonnie! I love how you embossed this image and adding a rhinestone to each ornament! These cards much sparkle in the light! Beautiful job! Have a great week ahead and you stay warm as well. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's better than gorgeous? I don't know so I just have to say it loud - GORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Simple yet stunning cards, Bonnie. Great challenge choice, too, by the way.
ReplyDeleteTwo really beautiful cards, love the gold embossing and the fabulous bow on the second card.

ReplyDeletePS and I've experimented with every light bulb I can buy and still can't get my colors to look as vibrant as they do in person.
Sheer perfection, Bonnie! Love the gold embossing on the ivory base! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh stunning cards Bonnie! The gold embossing looks wonderful and I love the pretty bow on the second one. Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my blog. I have enjoyed spending the month with you at Merry Monday! Such a lovely group!!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous...as always! Love both of them but my fave is card 2...that bow is a treat!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You've done it again, Bonnie! The foil paper, the embossing and the gems all add that extra special touch. The gems showed up red on my iPad, not orange. The gold embossing powder you chose looks very fine and brings out the details. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Bonnie! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Love your ornaments in the gold with just a few little pops of colour. It's so effective. x

ReplyDeleteWow -these are gorgeous cards Bonnie. Now I jut have to have this stamp. I am not too good when it comes to embossing. I just tried with a small ornament stamp I have and it really did not turn out well at all. I do love your cards!
ReplyDeleteSandy

ReplyDeleteThese gilded beauties really struck me! I cannot remember if I commented on them or not. For some reason, I cannot scroll down in a comment box now (thanks, Blogger), so I can't even double check.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, when I see a post thru email, I comment in my head (LOL) and by the time I make it to a blog, I'm not sure if I typed the words, or just thought them.
These are both gorgeous!! Love the ornaments embossed in gold on the cream CS.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous cards Bonnie! I love them both :)
