Coffee Break with Merry Monday

Time for our first Merry Monday challenge
of October.

Christmas will be here before we know it!

Lovely Lori chose this challenge for us.

I get the idea that Lori loves coffee! LOL!

I had to think about this one.

I have this one stamp that can be used for coffee, so I went with that.

I added a gingerbread cookie because I think gingerbread is better with coffee.

It's certainly not bad on it's own though.

The coffee mug is embossed with clear embossing powder to give it a shine and
the gingerbread man is "Winked with Stella" to add some sugary fun.

I stamped the mug a second time on a bit of Early Espresso cardstock,
cut it out and paper pieced it into the cup.

That reminds me of this month's

I hope you'll take a coffee break and join us this week at

I'm glad you could stop by.

Enjoy!

  7. Brilliant idea to add the 'coffee' into your pretty red cup as you did...looks just like Starbucks! Also love the steam treatment, and of course the gingerbread & coffee are making me drool for a nice cuppa. The white embossing is so very pretty and I love the ribbon pattern & texture. TFS & Hugs

  12. I sure do wish I lived in your area - I wold love to be able to do classes with you. Oh, do you do classes?
You know how much I love your cards Bonnie - do you have any suggestions about embossing? I need to start embossing. I can order through you for my SU supplies -- I don't need anything right now but I will! For the card stock, I like SU the best.
You are so much fun to follow, actually, you make me want to be better. Oh well, I am rambling on and on. Would love to have any suggestions you might offer for good embossing.

  13. So many lovely things all one card. Since I'm not a fan of coffee I am going to pretend that it is hot chocolate. Oh wait, I'm not that big of fan of chocolate either (yeah, I'm weird) so pass that gingerbread cookie over here, wouldya?

  20. Bonnie I like this card, very festive. Of course I was attracted to the EF, it seems the Darice brand emboss heavier. Hope you are okay with the awful weather. A friend has homes in SC and it has been terrible. Have a good week. Barb
