Happy Monoprint

Hello Friends.  I'm glad you could stop by.

I found this monoprint in my stuffed to the gills box of backgrounds.
It's a piece left over from these cards.

To make the piece, I dragged Mini Distress Ink cubes along the stencil,
spritzed with water and pressed onto mixed media paper.

The happy die was a birthday gift from a special friend. I used vellum
for the background and a snippet of cardstock for the happy.

Birthday was stamped and heat embossed.

There's a little dry embossing too.

My mixed media are Stencil Monoprint, Stamping, Heat Embossing,
Dry Embossing and Die Cuts.

If you're not familiar with this technique, check out the
CAS Mix Up Challenge site for video tutorials.

Hope you have a happy day!

  14. I love your fun and happy stencil monoprint panel, Bonnie! The vellum background is a great idea, not covering the monoprint completely but making the die-cut sentiment pop. The horizontal dry embossing adds some interest in a subtle way and keeps a good balance of the card. Hideko xx
