Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I'm getting a bit behind but I'm in the game for the fun
not pressure. Some days are better reading a book than trying to color!
I did finish a card with the last coloring I shared.
I tried to do a watercolor wash but it was a disaster!
So I got out the scissors and did some fussy cutting.
I tried it on a washed background but liked it on the white textured
cardstock much better.

WOW! This card is incredibly beautiful, Bonnie. In the previous post, there were suggestions to make a soft watercolor background for this beautiful flower. but your solution turned out to be stunning. The addition of thin black stripes beautifully framed the flower, finishing the card wonderfully

The textured card shows off the beautiful flower to perfection Bonnie x.
ReplyDeleteI knew whatever you did with that incredible art work would be gorgeous and it IS! Just WOW on the coloring. Look at those highlights! I tend to color all my white space ruining the effect but you did this perfectly! Your shading is impeccable. Now I’ll have schedule a class with you!
ReplyDeleteI loved it before you cut it out and I love it now that it's fussy cut. It's really lovely. [Bunny]
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Your coloring is so pretty and I love how you fussy cut the flower and placed on the textured background with the little strips of black.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely just the way you've made it ... and I love your little stork scissors! My mom had them - wonder where they went to live?

ReplyDeleteSome times these happy accidents are a good thing. Your fussy-cutting is perfect and having the raised flower on the background gives it more presence. Wonderful design with the black accent strips. This is one GORGEOUS card, my friend. xx
ReplyDeleteGreat save and fussy cutting. Gorgeous colouring. It’s so beautiful, especially against the textured background.
ReplyDeleteSometimes less is more and in this particular case it certainly is as this looks wonderful just as it is on that textured card and I love the black strip top and bottom which coordinates with the white on black sentiment. x

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing coloring, Bonnie! Oh if I could only.... and I'm with you, if the wash doesn't work - eliminate it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Bonnie, glad you ditched the watercolor washed background because this beautiful flower just pop's off the white background. Yes, sometimes a good book is just the pull over coloring. Glad you are not feeling pressured with coloring! Hugs, Brenda
