Roses for Someone Special

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I have stamped and heat embossed this NBUS stamp in white on pink cardstock
and colored the roses with Copic Markers keeping with
monochromatic colors.

Then I thought maybe I should add some clear gems.

I'm not sure I like it better with the gems or without.
They're on there now though so they'll have to stay.

Challenges:
NBUS #34 - Never Before Used Schtuff

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Paint A Flower (PAF) Rosa Floribunda (Alt), Thinking of You (Alt)
Ink:   VersaMark
Paper:   Petal Pink, Merry Merlot (SU)
Other:  White EP, Copic Sketch Markers (R81, R30, R000, R0000, R37, E17), Caran d'ache Supracolor Pencil (Dk Carmine), Sparkling Crystals (SK)

Enjoy!

  11. Bonnie your monochromatic coloring/shading on these roses is so gorgeous, I don't think it needed anything to distract from that!
I've taken more than my fair share of 'before & after/bling' photos! It does feel wrong not to use those fabulous crystals, doesn't it?

  20. Oh, so beautiful, Bonnie! The gems look like dew drops and I love it either way. Fabulous blending with the Copics on pink. I don't even think "monochromatic" when I see it. It's just lovely!

  22. Beautiful! I too thought it was water colored, especially since I thought heat embossing and copics don't like each other -- for this... fantastic!
